Job Description:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our global tax team based in Gurgaon, India. This is a new opening for an experienced Manager to support the international markets for Direct and Indirect Tax compliance & reporting at American Express.  The successful candidate will gain experience covering a wide range of international jurisdictions supporting US GAAP tax provisioning / direct and indirect tax returns along with payments and liaising with a third-party provider in connection with local statutory reporting and compliance responsibilities.

 

Responsibilities:

·       Support US GAAP provision process on monthly and quarterly basis

·       Preparation and review of RTC under USGAAP for various international markets Support internal and external audits

·       Preparing of numerous support schedules to get filed with tax return.

·       Processing and monitoring of the payments & MJE’s for International markets for Direct and Indirect tax  

·       Working collaboratively with the tax compliance outsource provider to support a range of international Markets for direct and Indirect tax compliance and IFRS process.

·       Handling the audit queries for Direct and Indirect tax.

·       Review and making sure that the deadlines are met for the Direct and Indirect tax returns.

·       Understanding and preparing the USGAAP to STAT schedules.

·       Ensure adequate, timely, complete, and transparent communication.

·       Oversight of related SOX compliance activities

·       Looking forward for the Automation opportunities in the existing processes and improving them

·       Ensure adequate procedural documentation for all critical activities.

 

Education: CA (Mandatory) with minimum 1-2 year of experience.

 

Experience:

·       1-2 years of experience working on international tax and/or accounting matters for Direct and Indirect tax.

·       Experience of Indirect tax would be preferred.

·       Big 4 experience a plus

·       Excellent Oral and Written Communication.

·       Driven to learn and develop new skills.

·       Willingness to work across regions / time zones & build relationships across Finance.

·       Flexible to work late during filing timelines.

·       Proficient in the use of Excel, Word, and MS Access

·       Able to excel and influence in a cross-functional team structure.

·       Self-motivated and independent having a control mind-set.

·       Able to work in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment.

·       Dynamic, willing to take on new initiatives.

Role Description: We are looking to hire an experienced LiDAR Team Leader, responsible for project execution and quality control. Candidate Profile: • Minimum 8 - 12 years' experience in production environment. • Strong technical analytical capacity. • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. • Proven work history, strong work ethic and team-player attitude. • Interpersonal & Relationship Building skills. • Must work well with others, be team oriented, helpful and a good problem solver. • Ability to read, understand and apply technical information, form procedure manuals, written and verbal instruction, guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures. • Relevant experience with software tools for GIS, Micro-station, Terra Solid or other similar 3D mapping software packages.
