Position Summary...

Provides overall direction by analyzing business objectives and customer needs; developing, communicating, building support for, and implementing business strategies, plans, and practices; analyzing costs and forecasts and incorporating them into business plans; determining and supporting resource requirements; evaluating operational processes; measuring outcomes to ensure desired results; identifying and capitalizing on improvement opportunities; promoting a customer environment; and demonstrating adaptability and sponsoring continuous learning. Develops and implements strategies to attract and maintain a highly skilled and engaged workforce by diagnosing capability gaps; recruiting, selecting, and developing talent; supporting mentorship, workforce development, and succession planning; and leveraging the capabilities of new and existing talent. Cultivates an environment where associates respect and adhere to company standards of integrity and ethics by integrating these values into all programs and practices; developing consequences for violations or non-compliance; and supporting the Open Door Policy. Develops and leverages internal and external partnerships and networks to maximize the achievement of business goals by sponsoring and leading key community outreach and involvement initiatives; engaging key stakeholders in the development, execution, and evaluation of appropriate business plans and initiatives; and supporting associate efforts in these areas.

We as the finance organization in the Company are responsible for accounting, tax compliances, budgeting, planning, forecasting, and reporting the results. We are at the helm of all crucial information, be it customer insights or business intelligence. What you'll do:

 

Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a strategic roadmap for the Financial Planning & Analysis Center of Excellence (COE) aligned with Walmart’s Finance strategy and transformational goals. Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure the finance function is an enabler of strategic decision-making.

 

Process Optimization: Lead efforts to streamline financial processes, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency within the finance organization. Implement best practices and drive continuous improvement in financial operations.

 

Financial Planning & Analysis: Oversee key components of reporting of financial results, financial planning, forecasting and budgeting processes, ensuring alignment with company and segment objectives. Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on financial analysis.

 

Technology Integration: Collaborate with Walmart Technology, Enterprise Business Services, and other stakeholders to leverage technology solutions for finance functions, including the implementation and optimization of financial systems and transformational technology such as GenAI.

 

Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure that financial operations are fully compliant with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Manage financial risks and take proactive measures to mitigate potential issues.

 

Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, segment and functional finance leaders, and external partners to ensure seamless integration between the Financial Planning & Analysis Center of Excellence (COE) and broader Finance teams in delivering on Finance’s objectives.

 

Change Management: Lead change initiatives within the Financial Planning & Analysis Center of Excellence (COE) and provide guidance for associates during times of transformation.

 

Talent Management: Attract, mentor, and retain a high-performing team. Develop a culture of excellence and provide guidance, coaching, and professional development opportunities to team members.

 

What you'll bring:

• 15+ years of relevant experience; CA degree/ MBA Finance preferred. Prior experience in setting up and running the Financial Planning & Analysis Center of Excellence (COE) is preferred.

• Experience in managing overall P&Ls and in working within matrixed organizations

• Proven track record of leading teams, driving process improvement, and implementing financial systems and processes

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams

• A strategic thinker with the ability to translate strategic and operational objectives into actionable plans

Job Description We're on the lookout for a seasoned Sr. Director, Finance - Revenue Operations to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you'll be the driving force behind operational excellence across all functions under the SVP of Finance. Key Responsibilities:  Establish and manage Business desk advisory for large/ complex deals, non-standard constructs for customers, and partnerships. Create and standardize scalable and repeatable processes across the organization.  Partner with SVP-Finance and all functional leaders reporting to SVP to drive excellence across all functions. Serve as the central hub for all cross-functional projects. Project manage all key initiatives/ projects. This may range from long-term projects to smaller tasks. Take ownership of projects and processes that require coordination but do not have a natural owner within the team.  Manage the preparation of all presentations and communications for events such as all hands, offsite meetings, etc.  Develop storyboards and engaging newsletters to effectively communicate ongoing initiatives and improvements in processes.    Drive alignment on Business desk processes and policies by building relationships with all sales leaders.  Drive quarterly operational reviews with all Sales SVPs/ VPs, and eliminate friction by evaluating feasibility and executing on key asks.  Own the training and development of the Business Desk organization. Provide leadership and guidance to the training and development manager on establishing effectiveness and success criteria, and execution.  This is a hybrid role (3 days/week onsite) from our San Mateo, CA (HQ) location.  Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA strongly preferred. 15+ years of experience with the majority of time in Revenue Operations/ Order to Cash / Deals Desk functions in a large company with global operations required. Experience in presenting to executive management required. Outstanding communication and influencing skills  Proficiency in creating visually appealing and impactful presentations required. Strong project management skills with a successful track record of managing cross-functional initiatives. Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality. Experience in training and development is a plus. Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
