The Role

As a Director of Finance,​ you have a key role to play in the financial engine of Sprinto. You will be responsible for running Finance smoothly, ensuring accurate reporting and book closing, monitoring expenses and finding ways to increase profitability. You should be comfortable leveraging technology and automating finance operations. You should be able to support functional heads of the company with strategic initiatives. The person will report directly to the Founder / COO and have a dotted line reporting to the Head of Strategy and Operations.

Responsibilities
  • Implement the comprehensive financial strategies, ensuring they are in line with organisational objectives while tracking execution..
  • Execute the financial reporting initiatives, managing both the development of strategy and hands-on involvement in internal and external communication.
  • Oversee critical financial transactions, including hands-on management of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and the optimization of balance sheets.
  • Implement advancements in internal finance procedures, crafting policies, and ensuring their successful roll-out and consistent application.
  • Monitor the organisation's financial health, combining strategic oversight with hands-on cash flow management to maintain profitability.
  • Enforce a robust financial risk management strategy, focusing on strengthening internal controls, hands-on tax strategy management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Participate in financial planning, merging high-level budget analysis with ground-level actions to realise cost-saving opportunities and manage organisational spending.
  • Supervise and Engage directly in bank reconciliations, debt strategies, and revenue collections, ensuring the finance department operates at peak efficiency.
  • Maintain strong, hands-on relationships with external auditors, ensuring seamless collaboration and operational transparency.
  • Pioneer and Implement financial automation initiatives, actively integrating the latest tech solutions to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Develop and Ensure the successful roll-out of strategic plans, actively preparing the organisation for various future scenarios.
  • Hold and Verify external partners to the highest standards, actively ensuring their deliverables are both timely and of the highest quality.
Requirements
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant with a proven leadership role and 11 years plus work experience in the areas of finance. 
  • Minimum 4-5 years of experience in SaaS. 
  • Experience in managing cross border entities is required (India and US). 
  • CPA is preferred. 
  • Prior experience in Big 4 firms is a plus.
  • Experience in automating revenue and finance systems in SaaS is preferred.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools, including QuickBooks, Excel, and financial modelling software.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
