JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a resourceful candidate to join our Financial Research (FinRes) group based in India. Depending on the candidate’s location preference, the position is open for either of our Hyderabad, Bengaluru, or Gurugram offices in India. The role involves working closely with analysts in the firm’s Fundamental Equities (FE) team based in the USA, primarily operating as a global generalist with a particular focus on but not limited to companies in the semiconductor industry.

What you’ll do day-to-day

In this role, you’ll be responsible for providing coverage primarily, but not limited to, companies operating in the semiconductor space and pitching investment ideas. You’ll track news flows and sell-side research views, cover results, support detailed modelling of company financials, and prepare investment write-ups/ presentations. You’ll also be expected to conduct in-depth benchmarking of valuation and operational metrics (versus peer groups), sensitivity and scenario analysis. Collaborating closely with front-office groups to iterate on financial models and investment theses will be key. Further, you’ll be expected to attend management/sell-side/intermediary/sector expert calls.

Who we’re looking for

  • The ideal candidate should have a degree in finance or equivalent (MBA/CFA/CA), and over five years of investment research experience (Should have covered the semiconductor space for a minimum of two years).
  • Candidate should have excellent equity research skills.
  • The candidate should have exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
