JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for resourceful candidates to join our RCOS (Regulatory Capital & Optimization Strategy) team within our Financial Research group based in Bengaluru/Hyderabad/Gurugram. This group provides high-quality, in-depth support regarding new business development and strategy research to enhance the decision-making processes of the firm’s global Regulatory Capital Optimization Strategy team.

What you’ll do day-to-day

In this role, you’ll be involved in conducting fundamental research on specific companies and broader subsectors in Banking & FIG space, including modelling and updating company financial models, in-depth benchmarking of operational and valuation metrics (versus peer group). You’ll be expected to attend quarterly earnings/ management/ intermediary calls to help build views on the companies. You’ll also independently work on research projects with the global team, iterate frequently with the team on various investment research deliverables and aid the Front Office data analysis efforts by collaborating closely with the firm’s technology development teams.

Who we’re looking for

• Candidate should have a master’s degree in finance or a CFA with four to seven years of relevant experience, along with strong financial modeling and accounting skills
• The ideal candidate should have equity research experience in Banking & FIG space for Europe and/or US regions.
• The candidate should have a working knowledge of Banking industry, geography specific regulations, & Basel norms.
• Candidate should have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Good understanding of equity markets, fundamental & valuations, ability to generate investment ideas.
• The candidate should also have analytical skills, attention to detail, selfmotivation, and ability to effectively interact with trading desk/stakeholders
