JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a resourceful candidate to join DESRI, based at the firm’s office in Hyderabad, India. The candidate will be part of DESRI’s Design and Engineering team and will regularly interact with the U.S. and Hyderabad-based teams, as well as external parties.

What you’ll do day-to-day

In this role, you will actively monitor, analyze and report plant performance data, solar resource assessment, and equipment performance data to various stakeholders at the required time frequencies. You will investigate any anomalies found in the data and report them to relevant stakeholders. Your day-to-day activity will be reporting the health of various components for various operational projects. You will also be assisting the asset managers with various data requests and the analysis of data. You are expected to work closely with the respective asset managers to detect and diagnose the underperformance and provide a hypothesis to remediate the core issues.

Who we’re looking for

• The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor of Technology (B. Tech) in electrical engineering or a Master of Technology (M. Tech) in renewable/solar energy/power systems, with up to 3 years of experience in utility-scale solar plant operations reporting
• The candidate should have experience with PV Plant performance analysis using relevant metrics to evaluate plant performance
• Candidate should have experience handling large data sets via tools such as Matlab, Python, Excel, and SQL
• The candidate should be able to communicate conclusions via well structured reports and well-designed data visualizations
• Excellent understanding of solar weather data analysis, data analytics, and performance analytics skills, knowledge of IEC and NEC codes and standards, experience in the commissioning of solar plants, and field experience will be an added advantage
