JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for resourceful candidates to join our Financial Research group based in Hyderabad/Gurugram/Bangalore, India. The group works closely with various front office groups to provide high-quality, in-depth support to the investment research and decision processes of the firm’s global proprietary trading strategies. This role is responsible for undertaking fundamental credit analysis of corporate bond and loan issuers across geographies and working with Front Office desks to objectively define the credit risk for those companies.

What you’ll do day-to-day

In this role you’ll be expected to build and maintain detailed financial models comprising of company financials, KPIs, capital structure, valuation, operational and peer group analyses. Your responsibilities will include monitoring industry-level data and preparing concise summaries of company-specific nuances and opining on their credit impact.
You’ll be expected to work closely with front office analysts in assessing corporate credit quality and iterating on financial models in a timely manner. Additionally, you’ll be required to monitor companies under coverage for earnings and other material developments. Other ad hoc projects could include relative value tables, data compilation, etc. Over time, these responsibilities will expand into industry coverage and providing due diligence insights to the front office team.
 

Who we’re looking for

  • Candidate should have a Master’s degree in finance or a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and over five years of relevant experience, along with excellent fundamental corporate credit analysis skills.
  • The candidate should have exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Candidates with exposure to high yield, stressed, and distressed credits will be preferred.
