Main Purpose -
Co-ordinate and lead teams in our APC India Hub in Bangalore, India with a primary focus on personnel issues from the tactical to the strategic. This includes hiring, retention and recognition programs, internal communications and the development of strategic partnerships with regional and global partners.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities -
- Member of the APC Extended Leadership Team
- Manage technically diverse teams in India with a size of 10+ colleagues which includes engineers, developers, and solutions specialists.
- Lead and organize the team in India with A-line people responsibility, ensuring employee utilization and all cultural and motivational aspects in the context of their global roles.
- Lead efforts to grow team according to project and global organizational needs, driving the process to hire new candidates and ensure that they get onboarded and trained effectively.
- Be responsible with R-Line managers for career development and global integration for team members.
- Collaborate intensively within the global Breeding teams as well as with the business, along with external partners and within the whole IT organization globally to deliver expectations and priorities of our business.
- Partner with APC Strategy & Engagement leads on programs to develop employees and drive employee engagement
- Develop and drive site-related communications to increase the awareness and engagement of employees on site
- Develop and maintain key relationships with internal and external APAC partners as well as facilitation, where necessary, with partners in EMEA
- Oversight of facility management issues related to employee workspaces
- Facilitate contingent staff management with local contacts
- Facilitate global imports and exports with global trade contacts for APC projects in APAC region
- Cost center management for the MGI cost center
- Management of procurement processes to ensure the necessary resources for India APC staff and projects.
- Responsibility for various operational items required to maintain alignment with other regional APC teams

Qualifications & Competencies –
Bachelor’s degree (14 years of relevant work experience) or Master’s degree (11 years of relevant work experience) or PhD. (9 years of relevant work experience)
Proven project management skills; ability to prioritize and deliver across workstreams
Demonstrated leadership in a team environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Results-oriented, entrepreneurial and self-driven
