Role Purpose -

As the OE & Production Optimization lead APAC, you will be the key contact for leading and providing technical support on optimization efforts across Product Supply functions (efficiency, capacity, yield and cost optimization) Providing regional management of the function and acting as the regional focus point of expertise in Lean practices and onePSS.

 

Key tasks and responsibilities will include:

  • Drive design, deployment and sustainment of the onePSS across APAC
  • Facilitate and report onePSS health to key stakeholders to ensure journey success
  • Guide and coach regional implementation and sustainment teams, driving standardization and best practice
  • Foster operational excellence by supporting operation teams with up-to-date technical information, that will deliver improvements to key processes through collaborative problem solving
  • Design and implement continuous improvement governance, working with site OE teams to accomplish the Continuous Improvement Annual Plan
  • Collaborate with all product supply areas to align continuous improvement processes and facilitate quantifiable results from all process improvement portfolio initiatives
  • Ensure effective knowledge transfer and training of targeted groups in relation to Lean, OE tools, technologies, systems, change management approaches
  • Support the sites to apply problem solving tools and Lean/6Sigma approach to address operational issues
  • Coordination of globIS and production systems in region, in partnership with site champions
  • Drive onePSS culture and a growth mindset

 

Qualification & Competencies

  • Minimum of a Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in Chemical, Agriculture or a related engineering field
  • Extensive experience in Plant Operations and Optimization
  • Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma and process engineering
  • Inspirational leadership style, with the ability to influence cross functionally and cross culturally
  • Exceptional analytical and economic analysis skills
  • Strong project management and report writing
  • Outstanding change management skillset
  • Strong ability to drive and deliver results through others within set timeframes

Main Purpose – Lead, plan and control the VS Production in accordance with India, APAC and Global VSPS strategies. Direct adequate resource and infrastructure to guarantee reliability in Vegetable Seed Production (FTE, PTE, OPEX, CAPEX). Responsible for all the aspects of Production in India, including but not limited to Strategic Priorities (People, Reliability, Quality, Seed Health & Cost), contracts, grower pricing, safety, compliance and timing.   Key Tasks & Responsibilities – Manage all aspects of safety and compliance, promoting safety culture amongst all personnel, growers, contractors and visitors. Ensure compliance of internal and external programs in our operations including HSE, Human Rights, FCPA, QMS, CSP, etc. People: Successfully manage and develop teams, relationships with growers, production coordinators and labor contractors. Aim for competitive base rates and align with CPMs. Crop management, harvest and delivery: ensure correct execution of production activities by local team.
