JOB DESCRIPTION

Context/Scope:

The Regional Deployment and Change Team is part of the Voyager Programme with the strategic objective of transforming Diageo’s business capabilities, leveraging data & digital technology, to create a competitive edge in the marketplace.

Diageo is embarking on an exciting and significant Business Transformation Programme underpinned by SAP S/4 HANA. Through this programme Diageo aims to drive process and data standardization and simplification. This programme will be delivered over a multi-year period with global geographic reach starting with a global deployment of S/4 in early 2025.

Diageo is therefore seeking a Regional Business Deployment Lead who has excellent functional and leadership capabilities to optimally deliver this Business Transformation Programme to the given Region.

They will have a strong grasp of best-in-class processes and business capabilities, creating the bridge between business capability today and those required to deliver our business goals in the S4 SAP Environment. They are effectively the bridge between the global team designing the asset and the region that will be receiving the solution.

Leadership Responsibilities

End to end responsibility for the successful deployment of the Voyager programme into the assigned region and markets within the region.

Creating the conditions for the Regional Change Manager, reporting into this role, to succeed

Responsibility to manage senior relationships within the given region right up to Regional Executive Committee.

Purpose of Role

This Role will lead the deployment and change management of the global process, technology and data solutions across the Regional markets, working with all functions to define the delivery & rollout roadmap.

Partnering closely with the wider programme (particularly the D&T team and solution design teams) and our external partners to execute against this roadmap, delivering a successful global Business Transformation. This programme will include complementary S4 Technologies – such as SAC, Salesforce, Group Reporting, etc. as required.

Top Accountabilities

  • Regional/Market Stakeholder Management ensuring that they are kept informed of the project, impacts and changes to their organization. Supported by the Change Management Team
  • Oversight of change management delivery to secure successful adoption
  • Identification and co-ordination of Regional Business Change Champions, SMEs, Testers, etc.
  • Escalation point for Region / Markets / Sites
  • Partners with the Regional Teams to support the Functional Area Leads on aligning process and technology to business requirements.
  • Coordinate and perform all Market readiness tasks including testing, data preparation, role mapping, cutover planning and Hypercare tasks supported by the Regional D&T Deployment Lead
  • Refresh and testing of Business Continuity Plans
  • Partner with Regional / Market Compliance Team to ensure that regional CARM and SOX variations are met
  • Ensure that local regulation / requirements are met and relevant sign-off is obtained (e.g. where Diageo is traded locally as a public company or external audit requirements are in place etc.)
  • Manages hypercare escalations for the Region after go-live
  • Help define success criteria, KPIs for go/no-go

Leadership Skills

  • Build and maintain value driving relationships across the organisation, and in particular for the Region and its markets in support of the Voyager Programme
  • Having a thorough understanding on global strategies and fully aligned with other global parties.
  • Having a thorough understanding of the business strategy, actively challenge and build business decisions.
  • Ability to hold tension between local preferences / perceived requirements and global design to drive the right outcome for Diageo as a whole

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Degree educated in relevant finance / accounting/ business.
  • 10-12+ years’ management experience across one of the following functions: Finance, Supply, Technology
  • Experience in a global FMCG or similar dynamic operating environment
  • Fluent English knowledge
  • SAP HANA S4 experience advantageous

Commercial Acumen: Understand the whole business operation in detail and can see connections across departments to see the big picture. Aware of competitors for existing core business. Recognizes key trends and industry characteristics.

Influencing:  Establish relationships with teams across business units and markets. Proven ability to impact and influence, at a senior stakeholder level, virtually across markets with solid networking, influencing & communication skills.

Effective Communication: Construct short story lines, adapt documents and presentations for the intended audience (complexity, detail, altitude). Presents material in a clear confident manner & manages non-verbal communication, in service to message.
