Job description 

Group Manager BII is responsible for ensuring the integrity and timeliness of internal and external reporting deliverables. This position will act as primary resource for escalation, resolution, and identification of key issues that impact reporting capabilities. Manage and lead a team responsible for developing and supporting automated and self service business performance reports.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather requirements, fully understand business needs and translate them into design specifications as required.
  • Make decisions on the most appropriate way to deliver a solution, based on the needs of the business
  • Works with key resources to develop a strong understanding of the key business contacts, tools, processes and associated data/metrics
  • Build understanding of assigned clients and assume the role of subject matter expert
  • Identify the feasibility of developing new reports using knowledge of all available data sources and data relationships
  • Communicate effectively with Report stakeholders in relation to report outages and data governance issues
  • Drive all phases of development projects from requirements gathering through to deployment of the reporting solution.
  • Establish and track timelines for assigned projects. Produce effort / duration / resource estimates for appropriate phases of projects.
  • Work with  team members and other functions as needed in the role of project facilitator, ensuring all deliverables are achieved.

 

Required Skills:

  • Degree in related technical discipline or significant work related experience and professional training
  • Must have at least 5 years' experience working on Business Intelligence automation or development of self-service Business Intelligence & Insights solutions
  • Preferable to have experience of working in a contact center environment for at least 2 years.
  • Strong knowledge of role related industry best practices and new technologies
  • Hands-on experience of reporting tools and their capabilities
  • Understanding of relational databases, data models and data warehouses
  • Ability to develop technical solution design and architecture documentation based on business requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to comprehend, analyze and interpret business needs
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex technical information in a clear and understandable manner
  • Proven ability to develop relationships with business partners
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.  Ability to effectively present information to internal and external associates.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize projects in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented business environment.

  • Advanced aBusiness to write scripts that customize the layout, format or function of Business Intelligences using common languages such as C# or .Net
  • Master level skills in developing web based self-service Business Intelligences and Dashboards using tools such as Microsoft SQL Server Business Intelligence & Insights Services (SSRS) and Business Intelligence
  • Experience of multi-dimensional solutions using Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) would be an advantage
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, Must be an expert to understand and discuss technical solutions using non-technical language
  • ABusiness to think strategically and make recommendations that align to and support the team’s long term strategy.
