JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Responsibilities:

Reconciliations team is responsible for :

  • Reconciliation of Cash and Securities between Custody and Accounting books
  • Investigate reasons for breaks and assignment of breaks to respective Asset Management operations for resolution
  • Detailed MIS and trend analysis of open items and ageing.
  • Escalation of aged and high value breaks
  • Root cause of breaks and identify opportunities for breaks reduction
  • Establish end to end workflow and SOP’s, updated metric pack for monthly review
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and work towards implementation

Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:

  • Detail Orientation – Function is critical from impact perspective. Need eye for detail and there is zero tolerance to oversight mistakes.
  • Managing the Reconciliations of all Nostro accounts held by the private bank for various currencies. 
  • Investigate reasons for breaks and differences in statements in our side and the counterparty side. 
  • Provide solutions and action plans for resolutions of open items. 
  • Track, and analyze outstanding items for pending action. 
  • Strong Client Focus. Strong time management and ability to coordinate with various teams to action items.
  • Analytical - Ready to analyze the process flows and ideate on operational improvements.
  • Strong team player and must have the capability to build good working relationships with cross functional/geographical teams.
  • Communication (Spoken – Assertiveness & Written) – Ability to communicate effectively and assist Client Service Specialists / Front Office Groups / Middle Office Groups with queries/investigations.
  • Adaptability - Ability to perform in a fast paced environment and handle multiple tasks through effective prioritization

Comply with Policies, Guidelines and Controls Required Qualifications, Skills and Competencies: Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 10-15 years relevant in New loan setup, loan servicing work experience in a Back office/Financial industry o Candidates with knowledge of loan systems like Loan IQ will be an added advantage o Candidates must have knowledge of Nostro/Cash matching, General Ledger reconciliation, SWIFT and other remittance systems o Strong problem solving and investigative skills to undertake analysis, resolve issues/problems related to the process o Strong risk & control mindset o Experience in driving small to medium sized projects with strong results o Strong people and performance management skills and Strong escalation management skills
