We are the Technical Program Management team at IDC, responsible for delivering technology services for Walmart US and International. From eCommerce capabilities to a thriving Marketplace and retail services, from Supply chain, inventory management to Fulfillment and replenishment, we work with our business, design, and engineering counterparts in enabling the successful planning and delivery of various portfolios that power the Walmart US flywheel.

What you'll do:
Manage large software development projects, lead a team of technical program managers, and work closely with architects and engineering leaders to ensure successful project completion. They will need a deep understanding of software architecture and contribute to architectural decision-making processes. Building strong relationships with stakeholders across Walmart, defining goals and deliverables for large-scale programs, and efficiently utilizing engineering resources will be crucial. Problem-solving and decision-making in navigating setbacks and obstacles. Overall, the candidate's expertise and passion for driving technical projects to success will be invaluable in this role at Walmart Global Tech Work with several partner teams to understand, lead and drive priorities and, also ensure that there are metrics to isolate and measure improvement Create clear visibility for the leadership both on the tech and business side on all the initiatives and programs with clear KPIs tied back to goals and report consistently on progress, blockers, dependencies and help needed from the leadership to unblock in several cases Have a good and deep understanding of the eCommerce and/ or store retail business and the dependencies and be able to partner with various teams to drive meaningful outcomes that can be tracked Program manage competing business priorities, reporting and deliverables in line with the key stakeholders expectations. What you'll bring:
- Overall 18+ Years of experience and 10+ Years of Technical Program Management Experience leading complex large technical programs/ products and teams in software delivery within a related industry managing aggressive schedules and significant business impact.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team of technical program managers and engineers.
- Demonstrated track record of successfully managing and leading teams, setting clear goals, providing constructive feedback, and conducting performance evaluations to drive individual and team growth.
- Exceptional ability to delegate tasks and responsibilities to team members, ensuring efficient project execution while maintaining accountability and fostering a collaborative and empowering work environment.
- Experience supporting and executing a large software portfolio, collaborating with multiple business stakeholders.
- Experienced in system/platform design concepts, architecture, technical design, services, APIs, and technologies.
- Build positive relationships and collaborate with product managers to understand target personas and business process needs, which you will then translate into features and user stories that engineers will leverage to iterate products quickly.
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability, with a love for data and solving complex problems.
- Expertise in change & risk management methodologies, project management tools, techniques, project tracking tools, dashboards, and reports
- Deep Data analytics skill and strong Marketplace context
- Strong technical background in software development and platform enablement and adoption
- Has an extensive knowledge in DevOps, Agile, SRE and Operational Excellence
- At least few programs driven in the platform organization around tech modernization, cloud adoption and change management.
- Strong experience with Enterprise Agile Project Management, ability connect vision, strategy and initiative, able to articulate the big picture and drive influence and consensus around application and platform teams.
- Ability to drive OKRs, Roadmap and KPIs connecting business and technology initiatives.
- Have been part of the large-scale cloud transformation or DevOps transformation program driving the adoption, tracking the KPIs and delivering the results.
- Ability to communicate both at the executive and team level, skilled in Data-driven, objective analysis and decision making.
- Ability to manage large, complex projects in an Agile environment.
- Comfortable presenting to and persuading multiple stakeholders from front line associates to business and Global Technology Executives
- Deep understanding of JIRA, JIRA Align, Big Picture, etc. would be advantageous.
Your qualifications
- Masters in degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent.
- 18+ years of experience in platform program management and cutting-edge product development space with good technology, consulting, and product knowledge
- 10+ years’ supervisory experience leading cross-functional program teams.
- 5+ years' experience in retail industry
- Project Management certification
- Proven work experience overseeing, strategizing, and optimizing the roadmap of software/systems support management including staffing, products, technology etc.
- Experience in hiring, coaching and mentoring a team of high potential technical program managers.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, good with people, ability to negotiate and drive difficult conversation in influencing the product adoption.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment in managing technology-intensive, time-sensitive, geographically dispersed product support organization across multiple locations and multiple domains.
- Proven ability to manage ambiguity and preparedness to get things done.
