Responsibilities & Requirements

We are looking for a seasoned and experienced pre sales consultant. The requirements and expectations of the pre sales discipline will come as no surprise to you and particularly the diverse nature of the role. However, there are some specific aspects that will work in your favour and they are listed here.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the business challenges and requirements of prospective customers across various industries and multiple data domains.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to identify prospects' needs and tailor product demonstrations and consultancy sessions accordingly.
  • Conduct in-depth product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the features, functionalities, and benefits of our solution portfolio.
  • Elevate the conversation from feature benefits to solution value.
  • Provide expert guidance and recommendations to prospects on how our software can solve their complex data challenges and deliver business value.
  • Create messaging and positioning collateral to support the prospect engagement.
  • Engage in proactive product evangelism by participating in industry events, webinars, and conferences to promote our software and position it as a leading solution in the market.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our software's technical aspects, competitive landscape, and industry trends.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to prospects, offering insights and best practices on MDM, PIM, and data management strategies as they relate to our solution portfolio.
  • Collaborate with the product management and development teams to relay customer feedback, identify product improvement opportunities, and contribute to the continuous enhancement of our solutions.
  • Take a proactive role in strengthening our sales messaging and value proposition.
  • Support the sales cycle and engagement process with RFI/RFP type processes, face to face and remote meetings to articulate our value proposition.
  • Play an active role in and support of our demo automation initiatives.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a pre sales or sales engineering role within the Syndication, PIM and MDM space, specifically in a multi domain context with an appreciation of the disciplines across syndication, digital shelf analytics, augmented approaches and other complementary areas
  • Ability to define business value and build consensus while at the same time have the ability to translate technical concepts into business value propositions
  • Excellent client-facing persona and a demonstrated ability to build rapport with prospects and establish trusted advisor relationships
  • Experience of interaction with industry analysts, partners, system integrators and delivery organisations
  • Used to cloud native technologies and approaches
  • Evidence of industry relevant publications, social media and public speaking events
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to quickly grasp complex software solutions with a passion for technology and an eagerness to stay up-to-date with industry trends
  • Polished, innovative, collaborative, and a solid team player
  • Excellent appreciation for the user experience and the value of the user journey
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in delivering persuasive product demonstrations and consultancy sessions to a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Willingness to travel as needed to customer sites and industry events
  • Work with the head of pre sales to support the delivery of corporate initiatives
  • Self motivated and able to define strategies and programs that drive tangible results for the pre sales team, in support of our overall strategic goals
