What You'll Contribute

  • Make a significant contribution to the design and development of a scalable, containerised, event- driven cloud-hosted enterprise application.
  • Participate in the agile Scrum process, delivering planned sprint work to the Definition of Done.
  • Leverage the utility and flexibility of the Spring Framework and Spring Boot to create a modern and secure microservices.
  • Utilise the Hazelcast in-memory data grid to facilitate cluster-wide operations and data storage.
  • Use Docker to develop against our cloud platform running in Kubernetes.
  • Extend, enhance, and support our existing optimization products, generating millions in revenue from our customers

 

What We're Seeking

  • BSc in Computer Science/Software Engineering or similar/related discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive experience in a Java software development role enhancing a multi-user web-based commercial software product.
  • Extensive experience in the development of web interfaces, especially JavaScript/AJAX frameworks and Web Services/REST/XML/JSON for a commercial software product.
  • Solid experience of Scrum and associated agile development processes and methodologies.
  • Solid experience of understanding and delivering to complex product requirements and relating development goals to client needs.
  • Experience developing cloud services using AWS

Key responsibilities Configure storage, install and maintain software, monitor, and sustain the storage in databases, VSAM files, work and sort space to allow the proper processing. Working knowledge on Storage hardware subsystems including IBM, EMC, HDS, DASD and Removable Media Devices. Experience in REXX, CLIST, DFSORT, ISPF editor and SAS is preferable. Experience in creation of Request for Proposals for clients.
