What you'll do...

The DevOps engineer will be part of the Jet DevOps team providing infrastructure, automation and operational support for EventStore database systems that power the Jet operations.

You will primarily work on VM management, Cert renewals, proxy management, providing on-call support to infrastructure, collaborating with the product engineering and support teams to troubleshoot and mitigate issues. You will also be responsible to find opportunities to automate manual tasks and create necessary playbooks.

You will also work with engineering teams to building alerting and monitoring solutions, provide RCAs to production issues, performance backup and recovery as needed, do cert renewal, express route management, migrate infrastructure and platform by following playbooks and perform O/s and platform upgrades.

You will work with other DevOps teams to adopt best practices to make operations easier and to build developer productivity

Minimum Qualifications…

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, information technology, or related area and 2 years’ experience in technology infrastructure engineering across areas such as compute, storage, network, mobility or virtualization-related technologies.
Option 2: 3 years’ experience in technology infrastructure engineering across areas such as compute, storage, network, mobility or virtualization related technologies.

Preferred Qualifications...

Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, information systems, information technology, or related area

About Team:   We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our Compute Infrastructure Team. As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the compute infrastructure and related service offerings that supports Walmart’s critical systems hosted mainly in Data Centers, Distribution Centers and Stores. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the availability, performance, and scalability of our compute resources and services. This role requires a strong understanding of Linux OS, system architecture, virtualization technologies, and a passion for optimizing and automating processes.   What you'll do: Design and implement scalable and reliable compute infrastructure solutions to support our organization's critical systems. Experience working in Linux (Ubuntu / RHEL / SuSE / others ) and Mac environments and good understanding on clustered/distributed systems. Strong knowledge of system architecture, server hardware, virtualization technologies ( VMware, Nutanix , KVM, Hyper-V), and containerization platforms (Docker, Kubernetes). Development Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Ansible, Bash, or PowerShell and Good understating on REST API.
