What you'll do...

About Team: 
On the Item and Inventory team, we ensure our customers get their orders when and where they want them, in a frictionless, predictable manner. What's more, we create reusable SaaS products and services that manage our catalog and power end-to-end inventory management, including replenishment, fulfillment, and transportation. With end-to-end inventory management, from replenishment and fulfillment to transportation, we give our drivers and partners the tools they need to get the right items to customers on time and in the right packaging.

What you'll do:

  • Providing software application support under the supervision of the Senior Software Support Engineer and ensure application are healthy all the time (16/7)
  • Drive the maintenance and support of software applications across the globe.
  • Independently own and address and resolve applications issues, provide updates and perform root cause analysis.
  • Gather the required information necessary in order to best handle customer software and technical inquiries
  • Plan, execute and implement applications and configuration change procedures
  • Gain and maintain expertise in flow of application process and systems related to domain
  • Performing analyses on software application functionality and suggesting improvements
  • Ensuring effective front end and back end functionality of applications
  • Consulting with the software development team, internal users, and clients to improve application performance
  • Establishing the root causes of application errors, and escalating serious concerns to Leadership teams
  • Keeping a record of configuration changes and scheduling application updates
  • Documenting processes and monitoring application performance metrics
  • Providing front-end support to clients and colleagues in other departments
  • Managing code migration across environments to ensure continued and synchronized functionality
  • Collaborate with software support teams to properly manage customer inquiries and escalate when appropriate.
  • Partner with other software support team members on various strategic projects when needed
  • Extensively research and document customer technical issues and solutions for knowledge-base and bring new ideas for innovation and automation excellence into the software support team.
  • Maintain good professional relationships with counterparts of engineering, platform support and end Users



What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field
  • Good understanding of programming languages like JCL,Cobol, DB2, IMS, CICS, Control-M
  • Minimum 6+ years of experience in Application Development & Support
  • Minimum 6+ years of experience in building/supporting of large scale applications using multiple technologies (i.e. Knowledge in Cobol, DB2, JCL, IMS, CICS, Microsoft Office tools, Azure Cloud)
  • Good understanding of database
  • Good understanding of networking, systems, applications and storage
  • Systems, software engineering and architecture knowledge
  • Exposure / experience in Cloud technologies will be an added advantage
