This role is about a software/systems engineer who will support the wider engineering team to build and maintain cloud, virtualisation, and server/workstation infrastructure to support the development of a Security Orchestration, Automation and Response Platform.

What you’ll be doing
• Assisting with the setup of end-to-end products and resources to support the development of new business use cases
• Maintaining the current lab resources
• Keeping the documentation up to date
• Deployment of various security products agents
• Deployment of various security products and configuration integrations with other tooling
• Configuration of firewalls, virtual networking
• Deployment and configuration of workstations/servers
• Develop and enhance automated processes to assist with day-to-day management of resources
• Capacity Planning.
• Ability to contribute/review to design documents
• Research technologies and assist with Product Evaluation, Perform POC / Pilot of new technologies.
• Research technologies and lead POC development, to ensure feasibility.
Skills and experience required
The skills you’ll need to succeed
• Must have a good working knowledge and hands on experience working in Linux operating systems
• Must have a good working knowledge and hands on experience working with Windows operating systems
• Must have a good working knowledge and hands on experience with scripting and automation
• Should have a working knowledge and hands on experience with networking
• Should have a working knowledge and hands on experience with virtualization technologies
• Should have a working knowledge and hands on experience with cloud computing AWS, Azure
• Should have a working knowledge and hands on experience with security products such as Firewalls, Cloud SASE, AV/EDR technologies
• Should have a working knowledge and hands on experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines
• Should have a working knowledge of ITIL Processes and Agile working practices
Experience:
• Experience of two years plus working in IT or IT Security
• Entry level industry recognised certificate a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Team player with a can-do approach.
• Good people skills, team & culture mentality.
