Technical Solution Consultant

Job Description:
HPE Services is our innovative IT services organization. What you’ll do:
The candidate applying for this position should have good exposure in handling installation, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and monitoring of Microsoft Operating System with a focus on systems administration in multi-platform environments. Candidate should have hands-on experience in building new servers & performing in-place upgrades.
Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1, 2012 R2, 2016, 2019 & 2022.
Develop action plans to investigate and resolve complex issues and communicate the action plan to customers.
Assist customers on Windows No Boot and Unexpected Shutdown Issues.
Provide Root Cause Analysis of Unexpected Shutdown of the Operating System.
Resolve the Windows Update issues and also assist in the Installation of the Microsoft Security Updates and other Windows Updates.
Provide Technical assistance in resolving issues on the Microsoft Failover Clustering Platform and resolve cluster service issues.
Candidate should have a good understanding of quorum drive, CSV, VM Storage Migration & Hyper-V checkpoints.
Resolving Virtualization issues in Microsoft Hyper-V Environment.
Resolving Windows Server Performance issues and should be well versed with Perfmon Log Analysis.
Should have a good understanding of the File Systems in the Windows Environment and how to resolve various file system issues in a customer environment.
Should have good knowledge of Windows Licensing and should be well versed with the KMS and MAK activation methods.
Provide leadership in technical problem management and resolution to issues by working closely with the end customers.
Identify and contribute to projects to improve product support, customer satisfaction, and team efficiency.
Should be able to isolate the Microsoft issues and provide the action plan following the scope boundary.
Possess a strong customer focus with the ability to control elevations; balancing the needs of the customer.
Should have a good understanding & troubleshooting skills for solving issues related to Active Directly & Networking in customers' environments.
Experience working with Microsoft Identity technologies including Active Directory, Windows File Services, and Group Policies.
Expert knowledge in administering Active Directory (AD) and GPOs.
Expert knowledge of AD, ADFS, PKI in Windows Server 2012, Windows Server 2012 R2.
Expert knowledge of DNS, DHCP, WINS, and DFS, in a Windows 2012 landscape.
Must have a deep and thorough understanding of monitoring best practices, preferably with Microsoft System Center Operation Manager (SCOM) understanding and experience.
Develops, documents, and enforces the standards, security procedures, and controls for access to ensure the integrity of the Windows Systems, Active Directory, and related systems.
Knowledge of Microsoft Forefront Identity Management, Microsoft Exchange, and Quest Active Roles Server (ARS) are preferable.
What you need to bring:
Extensive troubleshooting skills and problem-solving ability required for Windows OS, Windows Cluster, Performance issues, RDP issues, and Hyper-V.
Good experience is required in Hyper-V management.
Cluster - Strong Knowledge and experience required for MS Failover Cluster Installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of cluster issues. Ability to provide the RCA with the available logs.
Windows - Server 2008 till 2022 installation, configuration, and end-to-end support for OS-related issues. Dump file analyzing.
Patching - Good Experience required in Windows Server OS patching and Hyper-V host patching.
Good Knowledge required of DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and GPO,
Tools - Good experience required on various MS tools like Perfmon, procmon, and Netmon.
Scripting – Good to have PowerShell scripting knowledge.
Process – Good Knowledge of the ITIL process.
