We are looking for a candidate with 7-8 years of experience in Derivative Operations. You will be responsible for investigating trade break queries, analyzing trade booking and recaps, and working with the Front Office to assess PNL impact. Other responsibilities include ensuring trade values in risk management are accurate, issuing confirmation documents to clients, and driving firm-wide strategic reengineering projects. You should have strong product knowledge and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a global team. The ideal candidate will also have skills in talent identification, coaching, and mentorship, as well as the ability to manage internal clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities include:

  • Investigating trade break queries raised by Back office, analysing trade booking / recaps, amending trades in risk management & working with Front Office to assess PNL impact
  • Performing various control functions to ensure trade values in risk management are in sync with Risk, PNL & downstream applications
  • Ensuring timely and accurate issuance of confirmation documents to client
  • Partner with Change Management teams to drive firm wide strategic re engineering projects
  • Review key metrics to measure controls, workflow capacity, system & team efficiency
  • Generate efficiencies by reviewing existing processes, improving STP & increasing capacity
  • Manage day-to-day processes across staff members including providing regular feedback, performance reviews and career development opportunities

Qualities we are looking for:

  • 7-8 years in a Derivative Operations (Middle Office / Back Office) role
  • Strong product knowledge; thorough understanding of the end to end transaction cycle for CEM (both Bullion & Non Bullion) products
  • Partnering with global & local partners on projects, efficiency and business change (new products, industry change)
  • Skilled in identifying talent, recruiting, coaching, mentoring, and developing team members and Team Management
  • Can operate effectively in a dynamic environment with tight deadlines, and can prioritize one's own work to achieve them
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a global team
  • Identify process control gaps, prioritize & mitigate operational risk with high attention to details
  • Ability to negotiate, to manage internal clients & stake holders. Problem solving skills and ensure quick resolution by coordinating with relevant groups
  • Flexibility to work global hours and willing to travel

This role is accountable for all data in the [Product Name] product that is created, provisioned, or consumed to support business objectives, advanced analytics, business operations, and reporting.  The Data Owner serves as a member of the product team, collaborating with the Product Owner, design lead, and technology lead to ensure that the product delivers data in a manner consistent with the quality and safety requirements of the business. The Data Owner also partners with their aligned Data & Analytics lead to operate increased business value through the identification of data required to support analytics outcomes.  Data Owners serve as subject matter experts, coordinating between providers and consumers to ensure business data is understood, fit for purpose, and integrated into analytics platforms. Document requirements for the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data within the product, and coordinate resources to deliver data quality requirements Influence resources to resolve identified data issues in a timely manner . Develop processes and procedures to identify, monitor, and mitigate data risks for data in the product, including risks related to data protection, data retention and destruction, data storage, data use, and data quality Manage the execution of tasks to comply with Firmwide policies, standards, and procedures related to the integrity and protection of data in the product. Develop relationships with product data delivery partners and data consumers, including leaders in the Business, Technology, Analytics, Operations, Risk and Control functions. Manage the execution of a set of milestones.  Understand and mitigate risks, bottlenecks, and inefficiencies in the product development lifecycle with respect to data. Track and manage workstreams and associated KPIs to ensure deliveries are successful. Manage direct or matrixed staff to execute specific data-related tasks Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities: 10+ years of industry experience in a data-related field.  Experience managing delivery across multiple workstreams with varying timelines Subject matter expertise in business or product data or processes Technical knowledge of data management and governance, big data platforms, or data architecture preferred.
