Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for a confident and highly experienced associate to join the Credit Risk Technology team and utilize their technical skill in a highly visible role as an Associate Engineer. You will be working on a green field project building a model development platform, dealing with TBs of data.
As an Oracle developer on our Technology team, you will partner with our global engineering team and business stakeholders to deliver value by building high-quality software products via agile development methodology. You contribute to the wider objectives of Credit Risk Technology to ensure consistent standards and approach to software development and design to a common shared framework. What You’ll Do
Be part of a talented software engineering team that works on critical banking systems, leveraging best practices, and build data-driven decisions
Work with our business partners to deliver value through the delivery of high-quality software using agile development methodology
Partner with application developers on designs, models and best in class implementation
Work together with other database leads to establish standards, procedures, and design patterns
Provide engineering support to resolve production issues with appropriate triaging
Automation to support a Corporate Insurance and CD pipeline to production and evolving design within the agreed domain target architecture
Skills You’ll Need
Experience as an Oracle developer within the Information Technology industry using Agile software development practices
Strong knowledge of Liquibase and strong foundational understanding of database concepts and development technologies
Experience designing tables, data analysis, writing queries (Structured Query Language (SQL) and Programming Languages /SQL, performance tuning, and table partitions
Ability to diagnose problems with Oracle products using the Oracle Enterprise Manager
Experience writing scripts, triggers, and stored procedures
Skills That Will Help You Excel
Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
Goal-focused self-starter mindset with accountability and ownership
Must be able to quickly grasp complex concepts and learn new technologies
Ability to work well independently with minimal direction and together as a member of cross-functional team
