The Search team is responsible for the search page that drives a large part of eBay’s core marketplace business. The Search team strives to build an experience that enables users to easily explore, find, and buy what they want at the best value through an engaging, frictionless, and trusted Search experience, helping them make confident purchase decisions.

 

We are seeking a Group Product Manager, who is passionate about online commerce and buyer experience, to join the Search product team. The person will primarily be responsible for driving the product strategy and execution of Search product and managing a team of product managers.

 

You will be hands-on in the formulation and execution of our strategy with a constant obsession to define and solve the customer problems.

 

Responsibilities:

Drive personalization and building ML models to drive growth in Search and Discovery

Manage and coach PMs delivering personalized shopping experience on eBay’s web and mobile experiences, as well as machine learning and deep learning infrastructure and new explorations

Define the team charter, set the strategic narrative, and define investment roadmap to power discovery and personalized recommendations

Collaborate with senior leaders across eBay’s management team to align plans with partners in the core product and technology teams as well as within the teams across functions: marketing, operations, sales, and strategy

 

Qualifications:

8+ years of Product Management Experience

4+ years of Machine Learning Experience

The candidate should have a successful track record leading consumer facing products

The candidate should have experience managing highly matrixed product teams

The candidate must be a strategic thinker and able to synthesize insights from multiple sources (including analytics, user research, marketing research, and design) to identify key customer unmet needs, key solutions that can address the needs and build product vision

The candidate should be fluent in executive storytelling

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment in California, Washington, or New York City is expected in the range below.

$168,400 - $262,900

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
