JOB DESCRIPTION

eBay, Inc seeks Data Scientist 1 in Bellevue, WA to develop recommendation algorithms for online marketing campaigns on eBay’s marketing channels. Train and deploy AI models to generate advertising content utilizing among others image processing and text generation techniques. Communicate to stakeholders to understand the main purpose of the project and main metrics that will used to measure the performance.  Understand dependencies on other related team and make feature request to them if necessary. Deep dive into data and provide insights that can further improve our targeting techniques. Utilize programming knowledge and experience in Scala, Spark/Hadoop, Python and SQL to develop highly optimized data pipelines at scale.

 

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Data Science, or a closely related field plus one year of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.

Base salary:  $110,864 - $205,700

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
