What role you will play in our team

  • Join ExxonMobil's Technology and Engineering Company as a planning and scheduling optimization engineer. 
  • Become a part of an interdisciplinary team to develop, deploy and sustain planning and scheduling applications for the global Refining and Chemicals businesses. In this role you will hone your skills in one or more manufacturing and supply logistics planning and scheduling optimization technologies.You will work to apply optimization and simulation utilizing commercial and proprietary modeling approaches, contribute to R&D initiatives and develop next generation solution techniques focused on value generation.

What you will do

  • Develop, deploy, and commission offline optimization applications
  • Provide specialist application consulting and technical support to affiliates worldwide for new and deployed applications, including model troubleshooting and assistance with model convergence, model and economic information updates, and interpreting optimization
  • Provide technical leadership through technical training, work process reviews and best practice implementations
  • Closely work with manufacturing sites, process engineering, business stakeholders & business support functions to identify new opportunities, define the scope, cost, benefits and project schedule for new as well as revamped applications
  • Support R&D activities in modeling, offline optimization and overlapping technologies

About You

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in any engineering discipline with minimum GPA score of 6.5 & above.
  • Degrees in Data Analytics, Data Science, Operations Research, Computer Science, Maths or related fields will be preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of industrial experience in Planning or Scheduling optimization.
  • Experience in commercial modeling / optimization platforms such as AspenTech PIMS, AspenTech ORION / APS, AIMMS, Spiral Crude Suite, Spiral Plan and Schedule etc.
  • Knowledge of Advanced MS Excel (Macros development).
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative, teamwork, accuracy, effectiveness, and self-confidence.
  • Demonstrations of leadership and mentoring abilities
  • Experience in hydrocarbon processing or supply chain optimization, ideally within Refining or Petrochemical organizations.

Preferred Qualifications / Experience

  • Understanding of key economic decisions in hydrocarbon processing supply chain
  • Familiarity with Oil & Gas Industry

Minimum 5 years of work experience in maintenance/shutdown planning & scheduling Minimum 2-3 years’ work experience in lead position. Hands on experience in maintenance and shutdown execution, planning & scheduling in oil and gas industry. Proficient in using various industry tools i.e. CMMS (SAP PM/MM or Maximo) for delivering planning & scheduling work, Primavera P6/MS Project for shutdown scheduling. Willing and able to take extended international business trips as may be needed to any of the company production units Flexible to work in shifts (9AM to 6PM IST or 1.30PM to 10.30PM IST) Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.   Preferred Qualifications/ Experience   Thorough technical knowledge of various oil & gas industry equipment and services in order to deliver maintenance work packages. As a continuous improvement lead Engineer,  you will be leading the L3 team in terms of  resolution of service issues related to Gas turbine auxiliary systems and CC Auxiliary systems with a focus on continuous improvement of service quality . Primary accountability is Engineering resolution time, quality improvement  and continuous improvement contributions in STCA/LTCA/RCA/CoQ in NCM and CCM cases     As a Continuous improvement lead Engineer  – Gas Turbine Packaging Systems Engineering, you will be responsible for:   Going through the Service now portals for cases and take ownership for L3 resolutions belonging to Package System in GT and CC domain Work closely with INT and EXT experts in allocation of cases to them in a smooth manner Distribute the work load to INT and EXT team members and work closely with them and their stakehholers. Follow up and support on quick closures Push back wrong imputations Expedite site team and other teams for fast replies Present top offenders / critical cases in QMR Train and develop external and internal employees towards excellence. Be ready to step in and solve cases hands on in case if there are any challenges to team members in solving on time. Be familiar with the proceses and tools needed Identify cases for Corrective and Preventive Actions for short term and long term Allocate to owners and follow up for closures Identify specific fleet issues and provide support to implement solutions Identify RCA cases and support business in identifying owners, follow up to close Ensure COQ is kept under control through adequate measures of awareness, preventive and corrective actions. Lead QMR for the business working closely with executive and direct staff for resource allocation Support business in planning of resources and strategies on YoY basis. Be able to connect  and influence experts  and executives across multiple domains globally to arrive at solutions in a quick turn-around of time Display a good aptitude for building trusted relationships with key customers, partners, industry influencers and decision-makers Preferable to have experience with 3D modeling/Detailing tools like UG NX, AutoCAD, and Analysis software like Flow Master, Ansys, etc.
