Provides entry-level technical support/delivery capability in a technical area with supervision for the current and future delivery support and maintenance of production services in the technical operations environment. Provides technical and procedural consistency within a team focused on the implementation, service delivery and support of products, systems & networks. Provides assistance with initiatives for driving down incident rates and working with site operations to improve service recovery times. Assists with the implementation process to ensure that all aspects of operability are delivered whilst ensuring that existing service levels are maintained or improved. Complies with operational standards, procedures, and best practice. About the Role
In this opportunity as Cloud Engineer, you will:

  • Active member of a team of cloud engineers who will be responsible on provisioning public Cloud Native platform infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as a Code (IaC) scripts to deploy cloud resources through pipelines and automate application installs.
  • Create, operationalize, and provide associated runbooks and documentations for cloud patterns services to be used by varies products for a self-serve model
  • Work closely with the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE), and cloud architectures to adopt strategies and ensuring common TR Technology standard across all cloud implementations.
  • Educate and provide guidance to internal teams of experts to build effective Cloud Native solution.
  • Continually evolve deployment methods and processes to effectively deliver products across all environments.
  • Keep up to date with emerging cloud technology trends – open source and cloud vendors such as AWS, Azure, and GCP
  • Collaborate deeply with multiple levels of technical staff across various geographical locations in a dynamic agile team environment.
  • Being the Cloud Native advocate to challenge status quo and ensure leveraging the full capabilities of the Cloud Platform
  • May provide technical support to operations or other development teams
  • Makes suggestions for problem solutions or software enhancements, which will typically be reviewed by a more senior developer.
  • Ensure that all cloud solutions follow internally defined security and compliance standards and controls
  • Participates in project planning sessions with team members to analyze development requirements, provide design options, and provide work breakdown and estimates of work.
  • Lead process improvement following investigative, analytic or diagnostic services
  • Provides status updates for own scope of work within projects.
  • Identifies and resolves standard technical and operational problems
  • Decisions involve interpretation of data, planning own work, or refining the methods and techniques to be used
  • Communicates information effectively and checks for understanding
  • Responds to non-standard requests from customers; investigates with assistance from others as needed
  • Explains difficult issues and obtains agreement as needed


About You
You're a fit for the role of Cloud Engineer if your background includes:

  • Bachelor of Computer Science or with relevant work experience in cloud engineering.
  • Python Development experience.
  • Possess knowledge and experience in general IT and public cloud, including Networking, Infrastructure, Security, Storage, Operating Systems (Linux/Windows).
  • Experience with AWS and/or Azure Cloud infrastructure provisioning, automation, infrastructure as code, automated application deployment
  • Experience with core cloud services includes, but not limited to, EC2, S3, Azure Virtual Machine, Azure Storage, ALB, Route53, Azure DNS, etc.
  • Experience with Relational and NoSQL Databases such as RDS, DynamoDB, Aurora, PostgresSQL, and ElastiCache, etc
  • Experience with AWS and/or Azure Messaging/Events, Firewall, Security, and Identity/ Access services
  • Experience with Serverless technologies such as AWS Lambda and Azure Functions
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Datadog, AWS Cloudwatch, and Azure
  • Experience with CI\CD tools such as AWS CodePipeline, Azure DevOps, and GitHub actions
  • Excellent problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills with onsite/remote teams
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Curious, passionate, and driven to learn new technologies.
  • AWS and/or Azure certifications is preferred.
