Introduction 
Investigations Support colleagues are responsible for supporting the delivery of confidential investigations conducted by the APAC WI team, including but not limited to whistleblowing concerns. The role holder will work with specialist investigators, across multiple investigations, to carry out core investigative steps allocated to them by WI APAC Investigators and the Head of APAC Investigations, in line with defined processes. Investigative steps conducted by the role holder will include electronic communications reviews and interviews. Over time, and as the skills and capabilities of the role holder develop, the role will provide an opportunity to experience all aspects of the end to end investigative process, with exposure to different ways of working and different stakeholders. The Investigations Support colleagues will also participate in risk management activities and the delivery of key priorities and deliverables across the WI team. 

What will you be doing?
Investigations Support colleagues will be responsible for: 

•    Completing investigative tasks allocated to them on behalf of specialist WI Investigators. Tasks include but are not limited to: identifying, requesting and analysing large volumes of complex data e.g. electronic communications in line with defined criteria; and preparing and attending interviews and taking comprehensive interview notes. 

•    Simultaneously providing investigative support for between 6 – 8 investigations.  

•    Closely collaborating with WI Investigators to deliver assigned tasks. This includes ensuring a clear understanding of the context and scope of each task and delivering actions in line with agreed expectations and timelines. 

•    Ensuring that all investigative tasks are conducted in line with bank-wide and WI governance, processes, controls and requirements. 

•    Proactively communicating with the relevant WI Investigator regarding the progress, challenges, timescales and insights from each task, as appropriate.

•    Effectively managing their portfolio of work and ensuring transparency around current and future workload and capacity amongst the Investigations Support team. 

•    Enabling the delivery of risk management initiatives by proactively identifying and escalating potential risks or insights during the completion of investigative tasks; and supporting the analysis of data to identify potential themes and trends. 

•    Supporting the delivery of WI deliverables and commitments, as required by WI Management. 

•    Participating in the continuous improvement of the WI team, by supporting the identification and delivery of potential enhancements in the WI programme. 

What we’re looking for:
•    Prior experience in analytical or investigatory roles where they have been expected to review, challenge and draw conclusions from large volumes of complex data.  
•    Proven record of following instructions and working independently to deliver a portfolio of tasks. simultaneously, in line with expectations and in a timely manner. 
•    Strong attention to detail and effective written and verbal communication skills including an ability to summarise complex information clearly and succinctly.  
•    Experience working with and managing multiple stakeholders.

Skills that will help you in the role:
•    Experience identifying, assessing and escalating potential risks and themes from large sets of data or information. 
•    Strong organisational skills, capable of prioritising actions, identifying potential delays and forward planning delivery. 
•    A sound understanding of the Barclays Group including the organisational structure, strategy and products and services. 
•    Experience identifying and implementing process and control improvements. 
•    Experience completing electronic communications reviews using various platforms and methods of approach.
