Cloud System Administrator
As a Cloud System Administrator at Clinisys in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, you will be responsible for monitoring, deploying, maintaining, and upgrading cloud-hosted applications. Provide administration of cloud solutions, user security, backups, and restorations. Support clients using hosted environments and enhance automation scripts.
Job description
Responsible for monitoring, deploying, maintaining, administering, and upgrading cloud hosted applications and the Windows and Linux operating systems they run on.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provide administration of cloud hosted solutions including but not limited to:
- User administration and security.
- Routine maintenance
- Scheduled backups and restorations; reviews back up logs.
- Monitoring of production, and non-production client environments
- Serve as Tier 2 support on issues raised by clients using hosted environments.
- Follow and apply standards and reference architectures developed for delivering infrastructure
- Follow and apply security and performance standards developed for cloud environments across hosted solutions
- Leverage automation to monitor and orchestrate client environments
- Provide feedback to the Infrastructure Architecture team on ways and methods to enhance automation scripts.
- All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES
- 2 years of experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and /or Microsoft Azure
- 2 years of experience in supporting and maintaining Windows and Linux Operating Systems.
- Thorough understanding of cloud computing virtualization technologies, including IaaS, PaaS and SaaS.
- Proven experience in the support and administration of complex IT projects.
- Experience with scripting tools such as Ansible, Powershell or similar preferred but not essential.
- Experience with Citrix DaaS (formerly Virtual Apps and Desktops) preferred but not essential.
- Ability to remain calm and focused during support incidents.
- Ability to work as an individual as well as part of a global team.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends as part of a global team.
TRAINING and EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Computer Science, Software, Engineering, Business or other relevant combination of training and education.
- Typically requires a minimum of two years of related experience.
