The Role
Cognizant is seeking a Delivery Leader responsible for project delivery in Digital Engineering practice focusing on our financial services industry business and reporting directly to the EVP, Digital Engineering leader. To manage on-time and at-cost delivery , enable pre-sales, sales and solutioning teams in client relationship management, offering development and solutioning support, enhances business outcomes for customers, employees and shareholders. Customer driven high quality innovation infused service delivery is a key purpose of the role.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Performance Monitoring - Own P&L for an industry vertical, ensure meeting of margin targets, timely billing and collections to ensure on-track revenue realization.
Delivery Execution - Lead delivery and ensure on-time and at-cost delivery. Oversee process adherence across delivery teams and intervene in case of critical flags. Track SLA adherence, KPIs, CSAT and other project metrics and take corrective action necessary. Risk identification, mitigation, management and reporting at cross-practice level.
Delivery Excellence & Innovation – Design initiatives to minimize delivery costs and improve productivity. Provide inputs into new solution creation and track success. Promote deployment of standards, tools and methods to increase delivery performance. Ensure adequate focus on continuous innovation and supporting Practice / Offering org in creation of standard solutions (incl. IP / assets / accelerators). Drive cost of delivery improvement (incl Offshoring, Pyramid, Utilization, Automation release, Sub-con%)
Generate & Drive Business – Defend current revenue and contribute to revenue expansion. Support in new deal pursuit, review and approve delivery model of the engagements at solutioning stage.
Talent Management – Mentor and track career development for the delivery team. Design career progression roadmaps to enable growth and retain talent through Job Moves. Partner with HR to address employee engagement & attrition.
Client Relationship Management – Personally own senior client relationships for key accounts and build strong loyalty. Track client engagement frequency and purpose, across major accounts to ensure adequate client engagement. Work with key clients to understand the needs and help them see the value addition by Cognizant.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 15+ years in senior leadership role.
Preferred background – Senior leadership role in project and product management. Deep technical expertise across competency areas, experiences managing large global teams. Domain expertise across verticals, platforms / tools and solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
Lead and manage large scale delivery, at scale capability building and execution. Good understanding of Cloud, DevOps and digital transformation practices.
