Job description 

Specialist - Data Integrity - IN
The Data Integrity role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and consistency of all aspects of critical management data across all asset classes on a daily basis. 

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • They are in-charge of reviewing client set ups, Managing security master data across the risk management system, the portfolio accounting system, the order management system, the option trading system, and the data warehouse.
  • The role is also in-charge of updating and reviewing management data, ensuring that the resulting analytics are within reasonable expectations of the business group

Educational Requirements

  • University (Degree) Preferred

  • 3+ Years Required; 5+ Years Preferred

Functional Responsibilities :

• Understand the data matrix supported by Nuveen systems, the product lines serviced and its usage to Nuveen Global Investment Operations and

   other user departments.

• Set up/Maintain/Verify  Reference data in enterprise databases and related applications as per

   existing internal processes and/or instructions received from the business.

• Monitor and summarize start-of-day and end-of-day data exceptions in databases and related applications.

• Interface with internal and external business teams to identify root cause of exceptions and assist with corrective and preventive action.

• Train and coach peer team members.

• Ensure adherence to compliance and regulatory requirements.

• Ensure all process and audit trail documentation is up-to-date at all times.

• Identify, escalate and thereby proactively manage process/delivery risks.

• Respond to ad hoc requests from internal and external business teams for information.

• Actively provide input to and implement process improvements.

• Perform testing for updates to DM tools and any associated applications and work directly with IT or vendors to resolve any technical issues.

• Maintain process/entity/security metrics and provide on demand.

 

Required Experience :

  • Investment  Banking / Asset Management Industry experience in an offshored operations environment.
  • Experience working with Security Reference  Data across asset classes including equities, fixed income and derivatives
  • Experience/expertise  in the use of some/all : Eagle Pace, Golden Source,  Bloomberg Terminal, Bloomberg API, Charles River Trading system, Oracle  SQL Developer, Reuters, ICE
  • Knowledge of market data sources, products and tools
  • Ability to analyze process/data exceptions and proven attention to detail
  • Ability to work relatively  independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Prioritization and problem solving skills
  • Experience using Microsoft Office suite of products (particularly Excel and VBA) and SQL.
  • Basic knowledge of writing SQL queries.
  • Very good communication skills, written and verbal
