Summary of Position:

Responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Alcon’s global SAP ERP system in support of Technical Services business functions, working in close coordination with IT and business colleagues in other functional areas and other technical disciplines, and conforming to Alcon’s system and process strategies.  (Technical Services is the business unit responsible for repair and maintenance of Alcon surgical instruments.)

Job Purpose Contribute to the design, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Alcon’s global SAP ERP system in support of Technical Services business functions, working in close coordination with IT and business colleagues in other functional areas and other technical disciplines, and conforming to Alcon’s system and process strategies.  (Technical Services is the business unit responsible for repair and maintenance of Alcon surgical instruments.)

Key Responsibilities:

• Create, revise, and review Functional Design Specifications
• Create, revise, and review Test Scripts for verification of system and process function
• Execute and review execution of Test Scripts
• Assist in creation and maintenance of materials for Training and Documentation of system functionality and processes
• Estimate efforts required for Design, Testing, and Implementation of system enhancements
• Manage system changes using formal Change Management processes and tools
• Promote and advocate the principles of standardization and simplification in system and process design

Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree
• Experience: 5-10 years
• Experience/knowledge of SAP modules (in approximate order of importance):
  • CS, SD, LE, MM, SCM

The ability to read fluently, write, understand and communicate in English
