Job description 

Job Summary-

As a part of the Client Success & Media Operations team, you will be responsible for end-

to-end management of digital campaigns for major advertisers on Hotstar, overseeing

media planning, trafficking, setup and QA. Key responsibilities encompass tracking,

analyzing, and reporting campaign performance, acting as a client interface for technical

matters, and optimizing workflows for efficiency. The role involves collaboration with

various internal and external stakeholders to enhance client retention and advertising

spend, proactive problem-solving and exploring innovative ad formats and 3rd party

technologies for improved targeting and measurement. Effective team management and

direction will be imperative to drive results that align with client objectives. Along with

success on client campaigns, you will also be working to drive broader positive outcomes

for Hotstar in the competitive digital advertising landscape.

About the team-

The Client Success & Media Operations team at Hotstar serves as a dynamic force

specializing in orchestrating end-to-end campaign setups for brands. Our approach is

founded on delivering a comprehensive and effective strategy to meet and exceed client

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Beginning with the initial ideation phase and extending

through execution and analysis, we take charge of every aspect of campaign delivery &

reporting. Central to our success is the cultivation of seamless partnerships wherein we

actively engage with both internal teams and external stakeholders, fostering close

collaboration to create a unified and impactful advertising strategy. Our emphasis on unity

and impact ensures that each campaign is not only executed flawlessly but also contributes

significantly to the broader goals and success of our clients in the ever-evolving landscape

of digital advertising.

Reporting To – Senior Manager - Client Success, Ad Operations & Revenue Operations

Key Responsibilities-

  • Primary point of contact for all campaign insights and deep dives which can be presented to the clients and agencies post campaign.  Working on multiple databases and data points to derive the ROI for each client
  • Technology knowledge with ability to do A/B testing using tools such as Charles and ticketing system Jira. Sound ad server tracker technology (Sizmek, DCM) implementation
  • Work on long term projects to improve delivery and performance of ad campaigns across all Hotstar inventories
  • Work very closely with product team to convert customer feedback into ad product features and help with POCs within the team
  • Serve as the internal expert on the platform and liaise across various teams (product, consumer, sales, PRS etc) to always provide the sales teams with the best of insights to engage and close deals with clients of specific verticals

Skills & Attributes for success-

  • Proven expertise in ad/video ops, having expertise in managing and setting campaigns for Video and Display ad units across Live and VOD business
  • Ability to see the larger picture among a multitude of internal and external data sources; Ability to assimilate new data quickly in a narrative form, but also deep- diving into it to stress test various scenarios and hypotheses from various points of view
  • A natural flair for numbers; plus story-telling ability to transform the insights from numbers and data into winning presentations for the clients
  • Self-starter; we need someone who can align to a shared vision, and then independently takes charge of the sales ops analytics function

Preferred Education & Experience-

  • Postgraduate degree
  • A mature professional with 5-7 years of experience who enthusiastically works on the nuts and bolts but is also able to confidently challenge seniors / established mindsets, with data and insights
