Our vision is to make Amazon pay the most trusted, convenient and rewarding way for our customers and merchants to transact. We want to be the most preferred instrument when a customer and merchant transact, whether in-store or online. To enable this vision, we have enabled a selection of instruments such as Apay Balance, Gift cards, UPI, Cobranded Credit cards for customers and a vast selection of use cases that customers frequent every day.
Our offline payments business is an offshoot of that uber vision for Amazon Pay. Our vision is to simplify in-store payments for customers & merchants and drive digitization of SMBs. To realize this vision, one of our missions is to build India's largest merchant selection along-with an independently profitable merchant business. We aim to enable 30MM merchants to accept Amazon pay by year 2025. We will make Amazon pay on every merchant desk a possibility. This acceptance would span a) large organized stores such as Shoppers stop, Big bazaar, More etc. b) local/regional brands such as Kanti sweets, Paradise biryani, Wow Momo, Ratnadeep stores etc and c) long tail merchants (mom and pop kirana stores, vendors) in every nook and corner of this country. Achieving this vision requires a large resource pool on the field that solicits and onboards merchants and a corresponding organization that manages this resource pool along with state-of-the art customer and merchant engagement strategy, processes and tools.
To achieve these, we are looking for an ambitious L5 sales and business development leader who is passionate about building businesses at scale.
This individual will be our ambassador with the external merchant ecosystem and will be responsible for conceptualizing, pitching and on boarding strategically holdout selection and leveraging ongoing relationship with partner merchants. S/he will have a direct and visible impact on the long-term success of various businesses across Amazon.in.
This role has direct exposure to senior leaders in Amazon and requires highly developed thought-leadership, ability to pitch new concepts to senior stakeholders, great analytical skills, relationship management and strategic negotiation skills. This is an individual contributor role based in Bangalore, and is a part of LPA Offline Merchants Team, Amazon Pay.
Key job responsibilities
1. Key relationship management with the largest offline merchants in India. Driving negotiations to onboard key holdout selection.
2. Stakeholder management with EUC Teams, finance, marketing and rewards teams to drive common goals for Amazon Pay and the merchants
3. Drive top to top leadership workshops to drive and firm up the annual/quarterly joint business plan
4. Drive monetization opportunities for Reward Ads with merchants

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of business development, partnership management, or sourcing new business experience
- 3+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software
- Experience in setting up and managing a sales pipeline
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
