As a Lead Consultant Greenplum Admin at Genpact you will be responsible for Greenplum database administration including installation of Greenplum database software, configuration, troubleshooting, database object creation, routine maintenance tasks.

This position offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced GP Admin to contribute to our data-driven initiatives and drive innovation within our organization.

Responsibilities:

·       Experience in Greenplum Database 4.2 or higher

·       Greenplum database administration including installation of Greenplum database software, configuration, troubleshooting, database object creation, routine maintenance tasks.

·       Greenplum performance monitoring and troubleshooting Familiarity with Postgres database.

·       Greenplum Database Design

·       Greenplum Command Center

·       Greenplum Workload Management

·       Greenplum Query Tuning

·       Greenplum software installation

·       Patch upgrades

·       Performance monitoring

·       Change implementation

·       Performance tuning

·       Backup and recovery

·       User maintenance

·       New database setup

·       Troubleshooting user issues

·       Experience with Greenplum Data Loading using gpload/external tables

·       Experience in working with EMC/Pivotal Support

·       Experience with Production Support and working on shifts/on-call rotation.

·       Proficiency in Unix OS and shell/perl/python scripting

Qualifications we seek in you!

Minimum Qualifications

Proficient in Greenplum Data Base admin tasks.

Understanding of data integration and ETL tool( Talend, PL/SQL, Pyspark etc)

Basic Understanding of data engineering and data warehouse concepts and principles

Familiarity with complex data relationships and the data mapping process

Good to understand cloud environments (i.e., Snowflake, AWS S3, Azure, etc.).

Team Oriented, with the ability to work without heavy oversite.

Write clear, concise, and accurate documentation.

Ability to learn and adopt new tools and methods.

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

·       B Tech / B.E./MCA or any graduates in Non-Circuit Branches

·       Must have 60%/6.0 CGPA throughout Bachelor’s, 12th/PU and 10th Std.

·       Must have sound knowledge of English – Any knowledge of a foreign language is a bonus.
