Responsibilities

  • BI Solution Architecture: Good experience in the design and architecture of comprehensive BI solutions tailored to the organization's needs, utilizing technologies such as Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Sigma, Alteryx, MachEye, Sales Cloud Einstein, or other relevant tools
  • Data Model Design: Develop and maintain efficient data models that support the organization's analytical requirements. Ensure data models are scalable, performant, and flexible to accommodate changing business needs
  • Semantic Layer Development: Create and maintain a semantic layer that abstracts the underlying data complexity, making it easier for business users to access and analyze data without needing in-depth technical knowledge
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, data analysts, and other teams to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable BI solutions
  • BI Best Practices: Establish and enforce best practices for BI development, data visualization, and report design to ensure consistency, accuracy, and usability of BI assets
  • Technology Evaluation: Continuously evaluate and recommend emerging BI technologies and tools to enhance the organization's BI capabilities and stay ahead of industry trends
  • Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize the performance of BI solutions, identifying and addressing bottlenecks or inefficiencies in data processing and reporting
  • Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of BI architectures, data models, and semantic layers for knowledge sharing and future reference
  • Training and Mentoring: Provide guidance and mentorship to BI developers and analysts, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing within the BI team
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, Data Governance) in BI solutions and data handling processes
  •  

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
  • Proven experience (typically 8+ years) in BI solution architecture, data modeling, and semantic layer development
  • Proficiency in BI tools such as Power BI, Sigma, Alteryx, MachEye, and similar technologies
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, Microsoft Fabric, ETL processes, and database systems
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a strategic mindset for long-term BI planning
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Relevant certifications in BI and data management are advantageous

Who You'll Work with CX(Customer Experience) Professional Services organization of Cisco is responsible for enabling our customer to accept and drive new technology initiatives through Advisory, Design & implementation services and Operate services. You will be specifically a part of the Enterprise High touch Accounts Team under CX. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.
