Job description 

The Senior Software Engineer leads web and API based application development used by our clients to understand our unique industry data.  Our software engineers leverage an agile environment and insightful architectural decisions to produce great software quickly and reliably.

As part of the ISG software group, you’ll attend daily scrum, interact directly with business-oriented product owners around the world, learn cutting-edge development methodologies, and work with some of the brightest and dedicated people in India.  Principal Software Engineers often serve as technical leads for these agile teams sharing collaborative leadership with a business-oriented product owner.

Successful candidates will come from a professional, client-facing software development team with vast experience in the key concepts of software development in the .NET framework.  Such experience will include DevOps, vulnerability testing, and automated testing processes and technologies.

Must be a good team player, quick learner, constant innovator, and appreciate other team members who do the same.  Ability to collaborate and add positive energy to the development team is critical.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Contribute to agile development of API-first applications under the .NET framework.  Eventually serve as technical lead for an agile team
2. Mentor junior members of the development team
3. Model business and systems processes based on findings through use case scenarios, workflow diagrams, and data models.
4. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high challenge environment.
5. Strong understanding of Object Oriented, Programming
6. Development of code to meet the design defined.
7. Responsible for developing the code in the standards defined.
8. Responsible for unit testing of the code.
9. Review the code written by the team members.
10. Responsible for solving the bottle necks of the other team members, escalating the bottle necks if unresolved within the time frame to the Lead.
11. Conduct proper impact analysis to understand each function’s scope and do proper unit testing once the code is integrated with the others.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

1. BE/ B tech in computer science.  No extrapolations here!  Have the education to complement the talent you bring. 
2. 4-5 years in a Development Role under a.NET development framework building web and windows applications.  Excellent MS SQL knowledge required.
3. General understanding of other programming concepts such as machine learning, NoSQL, and Rest API development,

 SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

1. Strong understanding of Asp.Net MVC Framework,
2. Excellent knowledge in Ajax, JavaScript, HTML, DHTML, JQuery, CSS
3. Should have a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in MVC.
4. Angular is preferred.
5. Knowledge on .NET Core a plus, and
6. Hands on experience in Entity Framework And/Or ADO
7. Hands on experience in SQL is preferred.
