We are looking for a candidate who has Level 2 Knowledge of working on Unix/Linux scripting and proven knowledge of Windows administration/Linux administration. You should have experience in handling NFS, mounting/unmounting file system in Linux and some knowledge of any programming language like Java/python and desirable knowledge of awk, sed and basic unix scripting skills. Your responsibilities will include creating, maintaining, and updating documentation, as well as backing up, retrieving, maintaining, and migrating programs/application and data. You should also have experience in handling stakeholders within and outside the organization, fixing techniques, and identifying minor code bugs. Supervising processes, identifying and encouraging automated processes, coordinating and communicating within the team and with customers, mentoring and guiding team members, and managing periodic reporting on progress are also part of this role. A bachelor’s/Master’s degree in information systems or computer science or a related discipline is required, along with a strong understanding of the Unix-based operating system. Knowledge of Cisco switches and Netbackup, as well as database knowledge, would be beneficial. Proficiency in scripting in Unix Shell and basic knowledge of databases and writing SQL scripts are also required. Excellent troubleshooting skills are a must.

  • Have the experience to handle the stakeholders within the organization and outside the organization.
  • Have the skills to Fix techniques and identifying the minor code bugs
  • Supervising the processes during the entire lifecycle for its alignment and updating or creating new processes for improvement and minimizing the wastage
  • Identify and Encourage and build or support in automated processes wherever possible
  • Coordination and communication within the team and with customers
  • Mentoring and guiding the team members
  • Managing periodic reporting on the progress to the management and the customer
  • Other related duties, as assigned.

You will bring

  • Require a bachelor’s/Master’s degree in information systems or computer science or related discipline along with a strong understanding of the Unix-based operating system. If they are conversant with Cisco switches and Netbackup and database knowledge, it would be beneficial.
  • Proficiency in scripting in Unix Shell would give them an edge over their peers.
  • Basic knowledge of databases and writing SQL scripts.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills

Key Qualification:

  • Education: B.E/B.Tech/MCA in Computer Science from Reputed University
  • Experience: 2-5 years.
