Sr Software Engineer – Coupa
Moody’s is seeking a Coupa Software Engineer/Administrator to manage and update the platform for source-to-contract processes. This role involves developing solutions, monitoring integrations with SAP, and troubleshooting issues. The candidate must be a leader and work with stakeholders and agile teams. Responsibilities include platform administration, integrations, data maintenance, and supporting business teams. Roles and Responsibilities:
This position is part of the Shared Application Services team within the Technology Services Group. Moody’s is seeking a Coupa Software Engineer/Administrator who is responsible for managing and updating the platform for the company’s source-to-contract processes. This position will be responsible for developing and configuring solutions for procurement, sourcing, and accounts payable capabilities as well as monitoring various system integrations including SAP. This individual will serve as the technical support lead interacting with business stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve moderate to complex issues.
A successful candidate must be a leader who can work with vendor resources, stakeholders, and participate in agile teams. On any day, the candidate could be doing any or all of the following:
- Serve as an administrator managing and monitoring the Coupa platform.
- Manage existing integrations to/from multiple data sources & work to resolve data transfer errors with APIs and flat files.
- Maintain and update Coupa standard and custom request forms.
- Manage user & group preferences including custom roles, management hierarchy & approval chains.
- Research vendor planned upgrades and changes including identification of gaps and/or inconsistencies with the latest version.
- Plan and execute upgrade business user testing and integration regression testing.
- Collaborate with product owners and quality analysts to implement solutions per the requirements and enable testing of enhancements and new features.
- Leverage applications like ServiceNow, Slack, Microsoft Teams and JIRA for end-user support and enhancement processes.
- Use Coupa’s Success Portal to create tickets for reporting platform issues.
- Update configuration documentation and common end-user incidents with relevant details.
- Perform data maintenance tasks and uphold data governance best practices.
- Support business teams on Coupa’s built-in analytics, reporting views & triggers.
- Complete requests for bulk uploads and data extractions for various business needs.
- Must be able to communicate and convey technical information to business users.
- Learn, adapt, and propose new technology solutions to address functional challenges.
Qualifications:
- 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience with Coupa platform administration and understanding of the financial service industry.
- Experience in Coupa components, including but not limited to supplier information, contract lifecycle management, and risk aware modules.
- Ability to use and maintain REST APIs and flat files to/from middleware systems.
- Solid understanding of Coupa data model and ability to create custom queries for data analysis.
- Highly organized and detail oriented with strong analytical skills and comfortable with Agile methodology
- Ability to remain flexible and manage competing priorities under demanding deadlines
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills, as well as excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to challenge responses from first and second lines of defense stakeholder
- Ability to summarize and report on complex data in a concise manner and ability to identify trends and ensure consistency
- Strong technical skills required to create and maintain analysis and reporting (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Strong sense of ownership regarding work product.
