We are seeking a highly skilled engineer with expertise in 1D system model preparation, flow and thermal simulations, and functional evaluation of powertrain cooling systems. The candidate will be responsible for carrying out design iterations, proposing counter measures, and developing methods or concept studies. The ability to understand sub-system interactions and work with test data for validation is crucial. Strong communication skills, both oral and written, are required for reporting and interactions with global counterparts. Knowledge in heat transfer, fluid dynamics, air-conditioning, and vehicle dynamics is necessary. German language skills are an added advantage. Experience with 1D simulation tools like GT-SUITE/Flow Master/KULI and co-simulation tools like MATLAB/SIMULINK is preferred. A qualification of M.Tech/MS in Thermal/Mechanical or equivalent is required.

Job Responsibilities 

  • 1D system model preparation and performing flow and thermal simulations
  • Functional evaluation of powertrain cooling systems
  • Carrying out design iterations (what-if studies) and proposing counter measures
  • Method development or concept studies
  • Interactions with global counterparts and understanding the requirements
  • Understanding the test data and use for method/concept validation. Build inferences from test data and utilize to improve the accuracy of simulations
  • Report generation, responsible for quality as well as timelines for the assigned task
  • Project execution and results evaluation & delivery
  • Ensure the fulfillment of all applicable guidelines, regulations and compliance measures

A candidate should

  • have knowledge in flow and thermal system simulations
  • have knowledge in Heat transfer, Fluid Dynamics, Air-conditioning and Vehicle dynamics
  • have ability to apply fundamentals in understanding sub-system interactions
  • have excellent oral, written, and graphic communication skills

Added advantage

  • German language skills

Preferred

  • Working experience in 1D simulation tools like GT-SUITE/Flow Master/KULI etc..
  • Working experience with co-simulation tools like MATLAB/SIMULINK etc..
  • PTC and HVAC domain know-how

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Qualification: M.Tech/MS in Thermal/Mechanical or equivalent
