GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for Manufacturing process planning engineer for Battery project. You will be tasked with the activities related to process and production planning, material flow simulations, capacity planning. You will keep track of changes, impact assessment, communication, measures and maintain all relevant documentation regard to work on a timely basis. You will also proactively plan for required meetings along with the agenda for quick turnaround and required implementations.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Process Planning:

·       Responsible for activities in support of production and process planning related to EV battery manufacturing.

·       Extend support planning, developing, delivering support that will enable impacted users across different teams globally to successfully transition from their current state to a future state.

·       Create or significantly contribute to process design strategies through digital simulations & validation.

·       Ensuring that stakeholders are aware of new solutions, updates, and changes with timely updates & reviews.

·       Work on product/process change management and impact analysis.

·       Effectively contribute in Production layout planning, material flow simulation using digital tools like microstation, Plant Sim and ideate solutions for optimization & issues in process planning.

·       Preparation & conduct workshops with stakeholders when required.

Coordination:

·       Coordinate with Internal & External stakeholders for open topics and meetings.

·       Timely tracking & follow up of measures / open topics / agendas / tasks / approvals in Internal Mercedes Systems

·       Highlighting open measures in appropriate forums for implementation / escalation.

·       Collaborate with global teams to ensure the successful execution of the tasks related manufacturing process planning.

·       Evaluate risks & ensure quality on a timely basis.

General:

·       Maintain & track relevant changes, documentation related to project deliveries as per Mercedes Standards

·       Responds appropriately and competently to the demands of work challenges when confronted with changes, ambiguity, adversity, and other pressures.

EDUCATION & TRAINING

  • B.Tech/B.E degree in Electrical / Mechanical
  • Strong experience in manufacturing process design for general assembly process/Powertrain/EV Battery
  • Experienced working on Material flow simulations for production planning

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

  • 4-8 years’ deep experience in Automotive / related industry
  • Experience working on EV manufacturing will be a plus point.
  • Domain knowledge is also welcomed.
  • Knowledge on usage of CAD software (NX, CATIA ) , Siemens Process design/simulate OR Delmia

  • Familiarity with manufacturing and production planning techniques
  • Strong time management & prioritizing skills
  • Strong analytical & process understanding skills
  • Good skills in communication, organization & team work.
  • Proficiency at grasping new concepts quickly and utilizing the same in a productive manner.
  • Good exposure and professional experience to work with International corporate culture.
