GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for material flow simulation engineer. You will be tasked with the activities related to material flow simulation modelling, simulation & analysis to support production planning activities. You will keep track of models , changes, impact assessment, communication, measures and maintain all relevant documentation regard to work on a timely basis. You will also proactively plan for required meetings along with the agenda for quick turnaround and required implementations.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Responsible for creating material flow simulation models with given inputs ( Layout , operational parameters) and  run simulation and

·       Analysis through simulation on topics related throughput , Bottleneck , resource optimization, Inventory reduction and optimization.

·       Experienced working on Automotive sector preferably with Powertrain, Assembly operations

·       Good understanding of Production planning basics - capacity planning , takt time , MTTR , quality rate , OEE etc.

·       Understand complex production systems & drive improvements through simulation

·       Run experimentation with simulation runs & derive analysis from results

·       Should be capable of presenting key results , analysis 

Coordination:

·       Coordinate with Internal & External stakeholders for open topics and meetings.

·       Timely tracking & follow up of measures / open topics / agendas / tasks / approvals in Internal Mercedes Systems

·       Highlighting open measures in appropriate forums for implementation / escalation.

·       Collaborate with global teams to ensure the successful execution of the tasks related manufacturing process planning.

·       Evaluate risks & ensure quality on a timely basis.

General:

·       Maintain & track relevant changes, documentation related to project deliveries as per Mercedes Standards

·       Responds appropriately and competently to the demands of work challenges when confronted with changes, ambiguity, adversity, and other pressures.

EDUCATION & TRAINING

• B.Tech/B.E degree in Electrical / Mechanical
• Good understanding of automotive Production planning for general assembly process/Powertrain/EV Battery manufacturing.
• Discrete Event Simulation software for modeling and simulation- Tecnomatix/Siemens Plant Simulation V11 & above
• Object oriented programming language & Statistical analysis - C#, C++, MS Excel VBA

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE

• 3 to 5 years (Must have 2-3 years hands on experience with Tecnomatix (Siemens) Plant Sim tool.)
• Experience working with Automotive manufacturing will be a plus point.
• Domain knowledge on production/process planning  is also welcomed.
