IT_Infrastructure Engineering & Services_ Intern – Summer 2024
This is a 10-week internship program starting on June 3rd through August 9th. It is a remote or hybrid opportunity with a wage range of $18-22/hour. We are looking for candidates currently pursuing a Bachelors or Master's degree in information technology, engineering, computer science, or a related discipline. The intern will gain understanding of IT infrastructure concepts/technologies, virtualization technologies, and network fundamentals. Strong organizational, communication, and learning skills are crucial. The intern will support the Infrastructure Engineering team in managing and improving data center, private cloud, storage, and backup processes/technologies. Responsibilities include learning the basics, working with a mentor, collaborating with teams, and presenting solutions with lessons learned.

Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a Bachelors or master’s in information technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline
- Understanding of IT Infrastructure concepts/technologies like Storage, Backup and Cloud architectures
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies like VMWare and network fundamentals
- Strong organizational skills with focused attention to detail
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated interest and ability to learn and code as needed
Responsibilities - This role supports and enables the Infrastructure Engineering team to manage and improve Data Center, Private Cloud (HCI/VCF), Storage and backup processes/technologies.
- Learn basics of one of the above areas.
- Work with Mentor to identify target project and build Project Plan with Mentor (including target Milestones)
- Collaborate with application and infrastructure team to implement at least one key deliverable identified.
- Present end of project solution to IT with Lessons Learned
