Job description 

What You Will Do:

Build & enhance data models and database architecture for Enterprise data Model.

Help define data standards and implement best practices working with the other members of the Data Management team.

Evaluate, design and develop functional specifications through detailed technical requirements document.

Evaluate MDM Applications, developments or models and provide recommendations for improvements.

Evaluate existing database structures and recommend improvements.

Build and/or maintain ELT processes in support of the enterprise model.

Evaluate and help select various data warehousing tools and components.

 

What You Will Need:

2+ years of experience in Data engineering 

Fluency SQL and relational databases (e.g., Redshift, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle)

Fluency in Python

Hands-on Experience in Airflow

Hands-on Experience in Kafka

Hands-on Experience with ETL/ELT

Strong intuition for digging through mountains of data to find patterns, abnormalities

Strong operational experience with Data Warehouse systems larger than 50 Tb (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, Teradata, Oracle)

Experience with cloud technologies (such as AWS)

 

Beneficial (not required) Skills:     

Experience with Business Intelligence tools, such as Microstrategy, Looker, Tableau, or similar

Experience with Spark

Experience with Informatica

Experience with Shell Scripting

Experience with deployment, continuous integration technologies, container technologies (such as Docker), and source code management (such as Git)

Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, kubernetes)

Role Summary: As an Analyst, IT Administrator, you will work with other members of our Infrastructure Operations teams to maintain the infrastructure and processes necessary to ensure that our customers have the best possible experience in the luxury e-commerce world. Your focus will be towards maintaining batch jobs for business continuity, contributing to incident response and resolution, and responding to developer and end user administrative tasks. You will work directly with development, quality assurance, and information security team members to analyze the technical landscape, and deliver solutions. Role Description:  Monitor and evaluate Saks web platform and integrations with back-end systems, respond to incidents, and improve systems to reduce outages and customer disruptions. Collaborate with product management, software engineering, and QA teams to maintain high standards for availability and customer experience. Manage and maintain routine business processes and continuity jobs and schedules to ensure day-to-day operations. Manage, renew, and maintain TLS certificates for both external and internal systems. Handle account access and development environment administration and their routine audits for internal users. Develop and maintain Bash scripts for automating API transactions and basic data processing. Handle tier 1 technical support requests for our internal ticketing system, utilizing strong customer service and communication skills. Develop and maintain technical documentation and runbooks related to day-to-day responsibilities and alerts. Participate in a tier 1 on-call responsibility driven by modern alerting tools, such as PagerDuty and Datadog.   JOB QUALIFICATIONS Key Qualifications:  2+ years of experience in Systems Administration, or equivalent IT help desk experience. Experience building scripts, tooling, and automation using programming languages such as Python, Ruby, or Bash. Experience with implementing and using monitoring, alerting, and observability tools such as Datadog and PagerDuty. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Preferred: Working knowledge of IP networking, Internet protocols (HTTP, HTTPS), load balancers and high availability architecture. Strongly desired: experience in the retail or fashion industries
