Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Server and Application Management: Manage and monitor servers and applications to ensure optimal performance, availability, and scalability.
• Security Vulnerability Resolution: Identify and resolve security vulnerabilities, implementing patches and measures to safeguard our infrastructure from potential threats.
• System Maintenance: Plan and execute routine system maintenance activities, including updates, backups, and optimizations, to ensure system health and stability.
• Performance Monitoring: Continuously monitor critical server and application parameters, proactively identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime and maintain optimal performance.
• Team Leadership: Work with infrastructure leads from other IT teams to resolve issues or on project initiatives.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, operations, and security teams, to ensure the smooth operation of our applications.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of system configurations, procedures, and changes to facilitate knowledge sharing and compliance.
• Vendor Management: Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers, ensuring that service level agreements are met.
• Infrastructure Strategy: Contribute to the development of the infrastructure strategy, identifying opportunities for improvement and efficiency.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
• 7-8 years of experience in infrastructure management with a focus on PLM, MES or other Enterprise Manufacturing applications.
• In-depth knowledge of Windows & Linux Servers OS, AWS Cloud, VMs & Containers.
• Basic knowledge of SQL Server DB
• Exposure to Applications & Equipment integration with the overall IT infrastructure. Knowledge of Siemens ecosystem (PLM or Opcenter) will be an added advantage.
• Proficiency in server and application management, including installation, configuration, and performance optimization.
• Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in identifying and resolving security vulnerabilities.
• Experience in managing system maintenance activities and monitoring critical server and application parameters.
• Leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of relevant industry standards and best practices.
• Relevant certifications are a plus
