Responsibilities
Key qualifications
Extensive management career within IT Mainframe Operations and/or IT Delivery (preferably both)
Operational experience managing an IT Delivery Organization covering all elements of IT Delivery, including day-to-day operation and strategic development
Experience with installation, maintenance and operations of large scale, business critical IT solutions
Proven ability to interact with senior leadership and affect others
Project and program management experience in driving Transformation Programs
meet the challenging standards of the Bank and enable the delivery of business imperatives
ensure the long-term viability of the mainframe batch operations and the people required to support it, in line with the vision and values of the organization
maintain the currency and value of a legacy platform in the modern world
Besides being an active part of Mainframe services Leadership Team, the lead of mainframe batch operations should have an aspiration to drive incident management and initiatives for service availability improvements.

It is important to look for additional improvement opportunities in collaboration with batch planners. This would ensure higher value of work being delivered from 24/7 team thereby ensuring a. More time availability to batch planners for them to take up more challenging work. b. Opportunity to upskill enabling career paths mainframe batch operations team personnel.
