Job Description

 

As an NDT Level II Technician, you will perform safe inspection Nondestructive Tests, execute techniques for proper examination and interpret inspection results. Candidates must be technically competent and knowledgeable in the application of the current inspection codes and have a minimum of 5+ years of experience working in mechanical integrity programs of refineries. Additional certifications such as ASNT ISQ for Ultrasonic Thickness Testing, API QUTE-TM – Qualification of Ultrasonic Testing Examiners (Thickness Measurement), and or a degree is a plus.

 

Job Duties

  • Apply PinnacleART’s Non-Destructive Testing standards
  • Perform inspection work that consists of UTT, MT and PT testing
  • Understand and follow safety procedures and ensure requirements are being met
  • Plan/execute NDE work
  • Cut Insulation and install Inspection ports
  • Fill out/organize paperwork - JSA, UT packages, Permits
  • Train and develop LVL I

Accountabilities 

  • Obtaining UTs

 

Required Qualifications

  • UTT MT PT on the job training hours
  • UTT MT PT Classroom hours
  • Must pass Level II UT MT PT testing with PinnacleART
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook
  • Must pass background and random drug and alcohol screens
  • Must possess a valid driver license and TWIC card
  • Self-motivated with good written and verbal communication skills with a positive team-oriented attitude is required

Working Environment

  • Conditions may include working inside and/or outside.  May work around office machinery with moving parts and moving objects.  Working near radiant and electrical energy.  Working closely with others or working alone.  Working extended or irregular hours and travelling by all possible modes of transportation.

 

Physical Job Requirements

  • Ability to walk, stand, sit ,kneel, push ,stoop, crawl, twist, reach above the shoulder,  grasp, pull, bend repeatedly, climb stairs and ladders ,identify colors, hear with aid, see, write, count, read, speak, lift and carry up to 50 lbs., perceive depth, operate a motor vehicle and operate motor equipment.

 

Tools and PPE Requirements

  • Equipment (machines, tools, devices) used in performing the essential job function include but not limited to computer and related equipment, calculator, special instrumentation, hand tools, power tools, air tools, telephone, and automobile.  Ability to wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE), including but not limited to, safety glasses, hardhat, reinforced toed shoes, coveralls, gloves, and ear plugs or muffs.

How will you make an impact? The Metrology Technician II will support scheduled and unscheduled calibrations and metrology services ensuring required non-GMP and cGMP compliant equipment are maintained. Performs calibration and metrology activities and services to assure that required process, laboratories, utilities and facilities equipment calibrations are performed in compliance with NIST, cGMP regulations, company policies and procedures and meet Federal and local governmental regulation (e.g. FDA, EQB, OSHA, etc.). Use the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to document calibration activities. Gown qualification for support of cleanroom activities Identify any areas where non-compliance or non-harmonization is occurring. Helps drive continuous improvements. Build and be a great partner with other VVS sites to develop and promote metrological standard processes and ensures compliance with Thermo Fisher (PCG/VVS) SOP’s, safe work practices, and cGMP regulations. The position involves close collaboration with Manufacturing, Manufacturing Sciences, Quality Assurance, Quality Control, and other Engineering teams.   How you will get here... Education Bachelor's degree in a technical, or related field is preferred. High School diploma or equivalent is required. Experience Knowledge of cGMP’s, local/Federal regulatory requirements, and documentation procedures pertaining to a biopharmaceutical manufacturing plant. Ability to coordinate and prioritize to meet landmarks and timelines in a highly technical and results-orientated environment. 1 + years experience in instrument calibration and repair for manufacturing, laboratories, utilities, and facilities equipment in a pharmaceutical manufacturing, or high regulatory environment is accepted with degree, and in lieu of degree 3 years of experience will be accepted. A combination of education and experience may be considered Able to understand and use basic computer software packages like Excel, Word, Power Point, Internet, Blue Mountain, MAXIMO, etc. Ability to read and interpret mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical blueprints. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Strong understanding of applicable regulatory requirements. Strong interpersonal and communications skills; written and oral. Comfortable supporting concurrent issues and working in an exciting, ambitious, and fast-paced environment. High ethical standards to support a professional business code of conduct. Able to lift 25 Kg Must be fluent in English
