This position leads development solutions in support of multiple applications within the Oracle e-Business suite, participates in analyzing, leading design, development, testing, implementation, and maintaining application systems. This position conducts user needs analysis, design, and architect software applications within Oracle Configurator, writes and maintains software code configurator extensions cx java, also writes and maintains its related documentation within the software development life cycle (SDLC). The IT Engineer II ensures that systems and software are secure and operational for all users.

Key Deliverables:

  • Capable of successfully leading engineering activities for small, medium, and large complex projects. Ability to work with diverse cultures and customers.
  • Quality, standard work, schedule of deliverables, technically responsible for, delivery of project, customer expectation, management, proposal support, direction of stream leads, Responsible for estimating, change requirements using standard, processes, and tools from start to completion of each project.
  • Delivers the high-level technical solution. Expert knowledge of multiple disciplines.
  • Communicates directly with end customers on issues encountered.  Also capable of explaining system changes to end customers during a release.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Acts as technical interface with customers, establishing professional relationships to ensure that the project requirements are fully defined and agreed.
  • Ensures that required prerequisites (e.g., design inputs, tools, documentation, deliverables, schedule, and budget) are in place prior to commencing work.
  • Produces functional and concept technical design specifications and provides technical leadership, support, and expertise for assigned projects
  • Ensures that the engineered solution meets project requirements in terms of functionality, standards, quality, and supporting documentation and implementation process at minimum cost by allocating work assignments to project team fully utilizing standard builds & standardized work
  • Monitors and controls assigned work scope against the project plan, ensures effective change control, and identifies risks / opportunities.
  • Proactively recommends potential quality and efficiency improvements within the engineering group
  • Shares technical knowledge with project team, supervisor, own discipline, and other engineering disciplines
  • Actively contributes to the pre-engineering phase of a project. As such, identifies to the in-house customer which information is required before project starts.
  • Assist project manager PMO in defining and estimating the engineering/technical change of work.
  • Attends all project related turnover meetings and functional design reviews
  • Manages program requirements and standards
  • Manages mechanical design efforts in line with program requirements and standards
  • Monitors project progress and issues from a program perspective
  • Ensures proper test plans and test cases are created
  • Performs project audit to ensure program account standards are being met.
  • Reviews and consults on open issues; assists with any customer escalations
  • Contributes to lessons learned post-mortem engineering review, providing program account expertise and historical perspective
  • May be required to perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned

 

Qualifications:

Education :

  • Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, Computer sciences, or equivalent experience

 

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with software development using Oracle’s e-Business Suite
  • Must have 5 years’ experience of Oracle ERP Application
  • Proficiency with Oracle patches and troubleshoot production issues.
  • Expertise of the following technology platforms and tools: Oracle PL/SQL, Oracle Reports, Oracle Workflow, and Business Events, BI Publisher, JDeveloper, Oracle Applications Framework, and Oracle Java Technology Framework, complex SQL & PL/SQL
  • Strong presentation skills.

Abilities:     

  • Functional checking of code design
  • Implementation and checking of oracle data transfer validation.
  • SQL database data input and querying through code design
  • Customer service and support of user base of program
  • Release development for update and new enhancements
  • Conducting analysis of complex problems to evaluate options and implementing solutions to meet customer expectations.
  • Communicating, interacting, and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external customers at all levels while fostering cooperation and teamwork within the department
