You will be working as Demand Planner and will be part of Motion Business Area for Drive Products division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Continuous Improvement Manager and will be responsible for generating unconstrained demand plan and finished goods rationalization in close coordination with relevant functions. Measuring, reporting and driving improvement of demand planning accuracy.

 

Your responsibilities

  • Creating and maintaining 18-24 months unconstrained demand forecasts for assigned products. Assembling and analyzing all data pertinent to creating an unconstrained demand plan and facilitates running the demand review meetings
  • Supporting sales by providing guidance on global demand for specific products and assisting with consolidation of the worldwide demand plan. Obtaining sales sign-off on the demand plan for input to the sales and operations planning process
  • Working with customer base to determine weekly inbound forecast and developing consumption models to improve accuracy
  • Partnering with sales, projects, finance, product management and internal customers to develop best practices for rolling 18-24 months forecast thereby improving forecast accuracy especially for systems businesses, the demand planner needs to include bid and proposal, project execution and reconciliation with finance
  • Working with product management team to coordinate new product launches, phase outs and platform changes etc. and incorporating them into the demand plan
  • Monitoring finished goods stock keeping units (SKU) levels, recommending SKU rationalization initiatives and feeding them into the inventory check book (ICBK)
  • Reviewing and improving forecast accuracy both at the aggregate and the individual product level by identifying key root causes for forecasting errors and implementing initiatives to improve future forecast accuracy

 

Your background

  • Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering
  • 3-5 years of experience in Demand Planning
  • Preferably from Manufacturing Companies

Well-versed with marketing automation tools such as Marketo, Salesforce etc. Hands-on experience with managing LinkedIn campaigns, Google PPC/ analytics etc. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Astute analytical ability – should have a natural flair for working with large data sets, and identify trends and patterns to enable data-driven decision-making. Should be an MBA graduate from a Tier I B-School
