You will be working as a Market Intelligence Specialist and will be part of Process Automation Business Area for Process Industries division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Global Engineering Manager and will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting market data to identify trends, opportunities, and threats that inform key business decisions including the development of go-to-market strategies, marketing plans and product development plans across a diverse range of industries including mining, metals, pulp & paper, battery manufacturing, cement, and industrial software.

 

Your responsibilities

  • Conducting comprehensive market research to identify industry trends, customer behaviors, competitive landscapes, and emerging market opportunities. Utilize various data sources, including market reports, databases, surveys, business intelligence platforms and other relevant resources
  • Gathering and analyzing market data, industry trends, and customer intelligence to identify market opportunities and potential risks
  • Conducting thorough research and evaluation of customer needs, value drivers, preferences, and behaviors to inform strategic decision-making, segmentation and marketing initiatives, including post-mortem analysis of lost opportunities
  • Conducting regular assessments of competitors' strategies, product offerings, and pricing to identify areas of opportunity and competitive differentiation.
  • Gathering data on industry trends, regulatory policies, and economic indicators that impact market growth. Collaborating with stakeholders to segment the market by industry, demographics, and geography
  • Utilizing historical data and current market insights to create accurate forecasts for industry trends, demand fluctuations, and competitive shifts. Assisting in anticipating changes in the market landscape
  • Preparing and delivering regular reports and presentations to convey complex market insights in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical audiences, and provide actionable insights. Effectively communicating findings to support decision-making at various organizational levels
  • Staying updated with industry-standard market research tools, data analytics platforms, and technologies. Leverage advanced analytics tools to enhance data collection, analysis, and visualization processes

 

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, economics, statistics, or a related field
  • Proven experience (10+ years) in market research, competitive analysis, or related roles within a relevant industry
  • Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within a competitive company or similar industries
  • Proficient with software and data platforms used by market intelligence specialists such as project investment databases, intent data, conjoint analysis
  • Familiarity with the process industries market/s such as mining, pulp and paper, metals and digital - and its related technologies, market dynamics, and customer needs preferred but not mandatory
  • Proficiency in using data analysis tools such as Excel or other relevant software
  • Adaptability to evolving market landscapes and the drive to continuously learn and improve
