The HCM Security Software Engineer is responsible for providing technical support, security architecture, and security assurance services on the firm's HCM platform. The HCM Security Software Engineer works closely with Architects, Software Engineers, Solution Engineers and Dev/Ops teams to provide technical support, security architecture and security assurance services internally across the firm’s HCM platform. As a core technical contributor, responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions, with tamper-proof audit defensible methods, across multiple technical areas within various business functions.

Job Responsibilities

  • The primary function includes managing phased Oracle HCM implementations (supporting integrations with applications) and providing ongoing, BAU support for modules released into Production. 
  • Executes creative security solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting thinking beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
  • Leads and works on security projects that are centered on application development and deployment and raise the value of the product for the overall organization. 
  • Handles configuration of security with the Oracle HCM product including reporting/role provisioning, role & access defect resolution, Segregation of Duties (SOD) analysis, and continuous development and integration. More specifically:
    • Function Security 
    • Data Security 
    • Areas of Responsibility Security
    • Personalization 
    • Security Documentation/Configuration Workbooks 
    • Defect resolutions 
    • Building Security Roles 
    • Location Based Access Control/IP Whitelisting and Public Roles 
  • Develops secure and high-quality production code and reviews and debugs code written by others.
  • Works with stakeholders and business leaders to understand security needs and recommend business modifications during periods of vulnerability.
  • Minimizes security vulnerabilities by following industry insights and governmental regulations to continuously evolve security protocols, including creating processes to determine the effectiveness of current controls
  • Works in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals through following the Software Development Life Cycle and Agility best practices.
  • Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
