Global Business Intelligence and advanced analytics team is focused on using data to identify and optimize sales productivity and business development efforts and drive development of marketing strategies.  The team works closely with sales management, advisors and the marketing team to drive strategies and foster change management. The aim is to shape distribution strategies through data-driven insights, and to embed these analytical processes into the organization’s decision-making framework. The lead is responsible to build a scalable and sustainable organization, manage controls agenda, and have defined engagement & governance model with key stakeholders, have identified metrics and performance parameters. Should drive collaborations/partnerships/team integrations with related functions/groups in the broader organization (India & Global).

Job responsibilities

  • Support initiative(s) to deliver information and business intelligence strategies across Sales & Marketing groups. Ability to understand key business drivers / questions , translate into structured analysis and providing business insights. Perform analysis on key business trends from different perspectives and package the insights into easily consumable presentations and documents
  • Partnering with  business stakeholders to identify opportunities for leveraging advanced analytics. Leverage the power of AI/ML to solve complex business problems
  • Embed analytics process in organizational decision making: descriptive, diagnostic and predictive and prescriptive analytics to derive better business outcomes
    • Building analytical frameworks for marketing measurement – A/B testing, campaign ROI(return on investment) , cost of acquisition modeling, lifetime value, etc.
    • In-depth data exploration and data mining to develop a deep understanding of client behavior, segmentation and engagement models, market opportunity sizing and wallet share evaluations, build recommendation engines and personalization frameworks, build predictive call to action solutions, measurement analytics  
  • Working with technology teams to create a center of excellence around visualization strategies, Design and implement solutions including executive reports, dashboards and data quality tools 
  • Understand current and future business needs, follow industry trends and innovations to proactively improve and maximize the value of the internal system/applications to be in line with the changing strategies and stakeholder requirements
  • Focus on building and driving strong stakeholder engagement across business functions, technology partners and extended global teams to provide relevant analytics solutions. Act as a key engagement point with global teams and oversee a highly motivated team for both qualitative and quantitative agenda of the group
  • Drive the team to strategically achieve highest levels of modernization and integrity across client journey by deploying right governance and design strategy on client data/analytics

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • MBA or advanced degree in Statistics, Math, Engineering or other quantitative-focused field preferred
  • Experience using computer languages (Python, Pyspark, Google Analytics, etc.) to manipulate and analyze large datasets.
  • Experience using machine learning libraries in Python (Numpy, Pandas, Sci-kit learn, tensorflow, etc.)
  • Knowledge of variety of machine learning algorithms (linear regression, logistic regression, SVMs, Tree-based models, neural networks, etc.) and techniques (cross validation, feature selection approaches, hyper parameter optimization, missing data imputation etc.)
  • Strong visualization capabilities and experience with BI tools (Qlik, Tableau, Power BI, etc). Technical expertise in data mining (SQL, Python, etc)
  • Experienced people manager adept at working in matrix organization and managing dynamic high performance teams

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Understanding of Investment Management Business, Mutual Funds, Managed Accounts, and/or Separate Accounts preferable
  • A balanced approach combining judgment, analytical rigor, curiosity, open-mindedness and creativity. Excellent communication skills and story-telling acumen 
  • Ability to multi-task and understand priorities/workflows. Self-motivated, team player with strong work ethic
  • Ability to build relationships across global teams
